This was the scene last night. At about 640. Police say the woman. Had a 3yearold child in the car with her. When she plowed into a group of people. Not once. But twice or possibly three times deputy chief Brett Zimmerman our initial investigation shows there were two areas where pedestrians were hit, on two separate parts of the sidewalk. So it was prior to the driveway that leads into the paris, in front of Planet Hollywood, then over in front of the paris. So we had two different locations where the vehicle went into the roadway, then back up on the sidewalk. a hotel nearby. On flamingo and koval. She was arrested and is now being questioned. While police test her blood of drugs or alcohol. While we dont know why. Investigators say. The woman drove into the crowd. On purpose. But police have not released much information on the injured. We just got off the phone with officials at u mc where 15 of the 26 transported victims were treated. One person died there. Three remain in critical condition, two are serious. 9 others were treated and released. We also just got updated from sunrise hospital. Where 13 people were taken. The good news is 10 have been treated and released. And the other 3 are in fair condition. The 11year old is in serious condition butt to weve seen a couple of head injuries, some broken bones and lacerations. Many of them are still being evaluated so well have to wait and see on those injuries.
