This is dash cam footage from a patrol car in urbandale, iowa. You see a car directly in front of the patrol car and it is on fire. The officer driving the far is officer Zach Mcdowell and he quickly springs into action. There was heavy flames coming from the front of the vehicle and there was so much smoke inside the passenger compartment much i was unable to determine if there was anybody inside of it at the time. You see him busting open the window. He doesnt realize that theres a driver unconscious inside that burning vehicle. Upon making entry into the vehicle i observed parts of a hand. The driver of the car is unconscious inside. Now according to reports, this car was being driven by 18yearold ian waseskook and he was doing donuts inside the empty parking lot of this church, he lost control of the car and hit the air conditioning unit and his car burst into flames. Officer mcdowell was the first officer dispatched to the scene. Theyre having a ton of trouble getting him out of of car. You see him go into the car and pull out the 18yearold driver who is unconscious. Look at the smoke and this officer is going in there without a mask. He doesnt have all the stuff he needs to go in there. Superbrave. The driver of the car was take ton a local hospital. Hes currently in serious but stable condition. But police do plan to charge him with reckless driving once he is released from the hospital. That officer, officer Zach Mcdowell was the Police Officer of the year in urbandale, iowa, back in 2011. I think he should be up for the award again. Its superman coming to the rescue. A 12yearold new zealand boy is lucky to be alive. Thanks to the quick thinking of a german tourist. Who saw this boy get swept out into the heavy surf off the coast. Him and his friends were playing just on the waters edge when they got caught out by a wave. That boy was joush waugh mccoy and he talks about what it was like to be trapped out there. When i was in there, i thought i was going to die. The waves smashed me so much and there were five really big ones. They flipped me around, quite a few times. A german tourist ran in, tried to save the boy but wasnt able to hold on to him. The tourist was able to get out, the first Police Officer to come on scene also unable to get this boy from the heavy currents. I lost grip about three times. Of josh and was just panicking and frantic to get him back. I found myself thinking, have i done the right thing, is there going to be two bodies theyre looking for . Watch as people and Police Officers on the beach join hands and hold on to this boy and pull him to safety. Thats amazing. Where is the little boy at this point . Hes at the end of the chain, in the white surf. Thats crazy. Ive never seen anything like this done. Quick thinking, though, right . Yes, amazing. Officers dont have buoys and lifesaving equipment like a lifeguard would. All of these people around is what saves this boys life. Its all brute human strength at that point. Theyre not anchored on to anything, its not like theyre holding on to a tree, theyre using just their own might to get this kid out of there. I would love to thank them so much for what they did. New modern buildings are awesome, but sometimes in order to have those buildings, you have to get rid of the Old Buildings and thats what this video captures, this is in the uk. And that building in the very center is actually a landmark building in this area. Its called the ramsey court. It was built in the 60s, but they need to make way for new residential buildings. As he runs on the field. All of these players are chasing after him, trying to take turns catching him, they cant. But this move from this player oh he tackled him. It looks like he got bit. He grabs it, rolls and as he picks him up, he does get bit on the finger, but hes able to carry him off the field to the side. He weasels his way out of that players grip and but you know it hes back on the field. Finally, one of the goalies says ive had enough, he runs after him, whoa, the marten does go out of his hands, but ice got more production than the other player. He runs off the field with this thing and the game continues. I think the home team should change its name to the pine martens. Or at least adopt him as their mascot. It sounds like its not a very happy thing to do, why are you doing it . Pressure. Peer pressure . And because if i dont do it, i will be really sad, im missing out. But it had nothing to do with the fact that he pushed her off a cliff. I just got a wonderful bit of creativity to show you guys. Its called paper shredder, created by brothers paul and steven. They started with a bunch of photos of brother paul riding his snowboard. They printed those pictures out. On a piece of paper. And cut the piece of paper out and used stopmotion photography. A series of photographs to put into a video. This entire process took them 246 hours. But what they got out of it was a super cool video and some awesome brother time. Check it out. For the past few weeks, steven has been bringing us the different devices created to separate the oreo cookie from the cream. I have the fourth and final invention. And i have to say the darn coolest one. Steven, youre going to hate it. I was designed to help people with household duties. Separating oreo cookies apparently that is a big deal for humans. This is herb. Herb stands for household bo b the folks ic butl. At carnegiemellon university. Smart people there. Theyve been working on herb for the past seven years. This is not a task that was simple. Notice. In fact we see herb stabbing things with a butcher knife. Now weve taught a robot how to use a butcher knife. And the robot has a different opinion from the scientists. We prefer the cookie. Cream. Cookie. Cream. A robot after my own heart. This hand of herbs will grab the cookie, twist the cookie. Separate the cookie and then rub the cream off on a mandolin. That retains the cream. Which we realize has been an issue. He takes a dish cloth. Polishes the cookie and hands it over to the consumer. You have to start on the sand and how to get up on your board so alana goes through the steps of how to stand up on your board. Get as low as you want, as you can, youre more stable that way.
