Investigation. We begin with new developments in the search of an abandoned building that once housed a San Jose Television station. Cadaver dogs have been looking for human remains and they may now be indicating someone died in that fire. Krewes this afternoon focus their efforts on an area across the street in a big pile of rubble saying its an area where the second floor of the building collapsed down on the first floor. Two different cadaver dogs alerted their handlers to the presence of human remains. Crews began to dig this evening looking for victims of may of died in sundays fire. Investigators say cadaver dogs alerted their handlers to the same pile. At this moment what we have going on as an excavation for possible human remains that we may have found. The fire swept through this building sunday afternoon. The former kntv offices and studios had been largely abandoned and Homeless Committee moved in. Investigators say three people were missing following that fire. Cadaver dogs could be alerting authorities to one or more of the bodies. We are hearing that there could be other pets inside the structure. So that could be a hit, but they are very well trained in looking for human remains. As investigators began searching, the suspect in the case appeared in court to face arson and burglary charges. He did not enter a plea. According to the fire investigators report a witness saw him spray some kind of liquid on a mattress. The report also says a dog trained to find accelerants found Flammable Liquids on peppers closed sunday night. Prosecutors held pfeifer on no bond, saying this could turn into a homicide case. Should anybody be fanned the mike found and were dealing with a homicide and a homicide during the course of an arson can be charged as murder. The last fire crew left as we started this report. Crews had to stop searching this evening because they found big pieces of debris they couldnt move. They will be back tomorrow morning to resume the search. If they do find a body, pfeifer will likely be charged with homicide when he is doing court one week from today. A woman accused of leaving the scene of a deadly hit and run collision in San Francisco appeared in court today for arraignment. 31yearold nedra stubbs is charged with felony hit and run and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. She entered a plea of not guilty. She is accused of hitting and killing adt realworld roi young. Her attorney said stubbs didnt do it. There is no evidence indicating that the vehicle that was seized was involved in an accident. There are no eyewitnesses that place ms. Stubbs behind the wheel of the car the time of the accident. I wouldnt characterize this as an accident. I will call this a collision. She is being charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, because she hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Stubbs is free on 80000 bail. She is set to return court may 19. San Francisco Police are investigating another pedestrian accident involving a taxicab. Officers say a woman was struck by cap near bush and stockton street. The womans injuries are not lifethreatening. No word yet on whether the cab driver will be charged. Yesterday woman in a wheelchair was struck by a taxi. Police in the east bay are looking for whoever pepper sprayed a teenage girl and left her naked near the claremont hotel. Without even thinking she poured the whole thing all over herself because she was hurting so bad. As soon as she did that she got so cold, she then said im freezing, im cold. So i went in there and got her a blanket and we wrapped her up. Berkeley police started the investigation, but Oakley Police took over and say the incident started in a different city. She was saying she was the victim of a possible Sexual Assault and maybe robbie. So ultimately its their determination what actually occurred. The girl was rushed to Highland Hospital in oakland for treatment. There is no word on her condition. Anyone in that kind of pain and in that kind of situation, it is awful. I hope shes all right. As yet there is no description of girls attackers or the vehicle they were driving. Late this afternoon Oakland Police say she may also have been a victim of human trafficking. The search is on for two people who opened fire in the middle of a busy Richmond Shopping Center parking lot. Two people were wounded yesterday outside the target store a mcdonalds avenue near 42nd street. Police say the victims were arguing with the suspects who were in a car. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and started shooting. The victims are 17 and 23 years old. The teenager is in stable condition. The other man was treated and released. Theres been another delay in setting a trial date for the man charged in the death of a morgan hill teenager. And sling Garcia Torres was in court in san jose this afternoon.
