And well move from the wrestling ring to the Trading Floor for stories of success from a female champion. But straight ahead, more on that surprising jobs number. Right after this break a surprise risethe government reports for the month of february. 175,000 jobs were added to payroll topping expectations of 163,000 although the Unemployment Rate ticked up a tad to 6. 7 from 6. 6. Brent schutte of bmo global Asset Mangement joins us this morning with a behind the scenes look at the jobs numbers. Good morning to you. Good morning. Are you surprised that weather was not more of a factor in hiring. I am. If you look at the data over the past few weeksyou mentioned the 163 numberthere was a whisper number that was quite a bit lower. I dont think that many people would have been surprised if it was in the 8090 range. Right. The market was anticipating a bad number. You mentioned the weather. In the Household Survey they actually go out and ask people could you make it to work or not because of the weather . This month there were 601 thousand people who could not make it to work. Which sounds like a lot and it is. If you look back historically since 1976, the other biggest number happened in 1977it was 441 thousand. It is odd for this to get over 200 thousand and so that has a huge effect on the economy. It had some effect on this employment report. But certainly the 175 is great in that context. Absolutely. And Hourly Earnings were up as well which is good for the american worker. This is something that were watching quite a bit. One of the things that we believe is that there is some level of structural unemployment. What that means is that you cant turn nurses into construction workers overnight and vice versa. Theres a Skills Mismatch in the u. S. Economy. If thats the case the fed has less time on their side to be doing what theyre doing. And so we are watching this intently. Companies are telling you that they have jobs they cant fill. In fact in the beige book this week they noted shortages in skilled labor. Its a good thing for earnings to rise but if they get too out of control then you get wage push inflation which can be bad for the economy longer term. We just need to see more people get hired. Right and i think thats still coming. I came into the year pretty optimistic on the economy and then this happened. You have russia in the background too but i dont think thats a huge factor. I still am optimistic. I think once the weather clears the economys going to get better. A report out later this morning that ill be watching is the nfib data which showed sales expectations among Small Business owners going to 15 in january which doesnt sound like a lot but historically that is very large. So well see if theres some follow through to that. Brent its always a pleasure to have you on our show. Well see you next month. Thank you. Still to come. The big hit. Why traders are turning into fans of world wide wrestling shares. Plus. Youve heard about the greed and the wealth on wall street. Well now we are showing you the softer side of the Trading Floor. Joining us now is margery teller, one of the female legends of the Trading Floor and somone who is using her trading smarts for a great cause. Good morning to you. Good morning to you. Back in 2002 you accounted for 10 of the trades going through in the euro dollar pit at the chicago mercantile exchange. What was that like being a woman on the floor . It is a boys locker room down there. It was a boys locker room but once youre established it doesnt matter. Its all about the money right . And how well youre doing right . Its all about how well youre doing. It depends on your actual physical position in the pit. It was great back then. It was so much fun. And the markets were so crazy. It was a wonderful experience for anyone to be down there. Did you still have to do a few elbows and push your way through . For sure. And you sound like you enjoyed it. I did enjoy it. I had the sharpest elbows in the pit. And they knew you were coming apparently. It was a great time back then and the market was just absolutely roaring. Do you watch the markets now . I watch them a little bit but i am really retired from doing that. What im working on now is actually a tv pilot about the pits and the way it was back then. We will look forward to that. You are also working on a potential cure for diabetes. You have a great cause going. Tell us about that. Well, i have a vested interest. My daughter was diagnosed when she was 18 months old, back in 1997. When i first started down on the floor, i realized that people on the floor were generous but i didnt know how generous they were until she got sick and people just rallied around. So first we started doing walkathons for different organizations. We did fundraising for the jdrf. We did fundraising for ada and everyone rallied around and bought raffle tickets. Then i realized that we could do more because people were so generous down there. So in 2004 we started our Group Friends for the cure. So far we have had 8 events and we have raised 2. 3 million for different diabetes events. Great story and wonderful to have you here. You can find her at friends for a cure. Our best to you. Thanks for coming on the show. Thanks so much. Just ahead. Why traders are keep punching away at wwe stock. Will they get hit with a knockout . Chart talk is next. Elaine it was 17 years ago when i decided to become a mentor that i was assigned to christina. When she was in the first grade, she was a shy little girl, not able to smile much. Be someone who matters, to someone who matters. Andrew keene, president of keene on the market dot com steps into the ring with us this morning. Good morning andrew. Good morning angie. Youre here to talk about wwe and no staging. Promise me that. No staging. This stock ha s been a beast. It has taken off to the upside and i continue to see unusual option activity, call activity, bullish activity. First i saw it in the april 30s. Then the july 30s. Then on fridayapril 35 and july 40s im in some of these calls. I think wwe has a lot more room to run. Theyre coming out with a 24 hour wwe station. Its all about content right now. You see all of these stocksdirectv 52 week high, dish 52 week high, netflix 52 week high. All of this activity makes me see that make a push for wwe. Its very heavily shorted and the stock moves a lot but i think wwe could hit 40 by the end of the year. Are you surprised by this monster move . The stock used to be 8 bucks and to be honest i didnt actually know wwe still existed. So i am surprised at how big a following they have. I never knew the following was that big. I know in chicago they actually just opened a wrestling bar where you can go and instead of having ufc, basketball, baseball, or football they have only wrestling and wwe. So actually its a lot bigger than i thought but its all about the content play here. If they have the following that everybody wantsthey all want to be in mobile, they want the contentsomeone might make a bid for them but this stocks going higher. We have to take off before the bell rings so thanks for that. We really appreciate you andrew. Thanks a lot. Thank you. Coming up later this week. A closer look at a different kind of chart.
