According to lake county news, a female chp officer pulled over a suspect in a stolen vehicle on highway 29. A worker at the port of oakland was killed today after being crushed to death while inspecting a crane. It happened about 9 30 this morning at berth 37. Thats operated by evergreen marine. Cal osha official tells ktvu the worker was in his mid 50s and suffered a crushed chest and head injury. The worker died at the hospital. He has not been identified. Berth 37 is one of 7 terminals at the port. It was shut down for the day. The rest of the port stayed open. Cal osha and Oakland Police are investigating. The san mateo sheriff is asking for help in identifying a girl whose body washed ashore. They say they cant figure out who she is or how she died. A couple walking on the beach discovered the body sunday afternoon. The county coroner says the victim was a white girl between 12 and 16 years old. She was 5 feet 4, 108 pounds with dark hair.
