Like the sequel back draft, a hazardous condition that played out in real life. Reporter it doesnt happen that often but you can tell by the devastation to the wall and all the material that was blown out to the yard. This is an extremely dangerous situation. They were about to make entry when this explosion happened. Now alvarado tells me he just had the chimney inspected and everything was okay. But according to this incident, officials are urging everyone to do the same thing. A clerk at a Neighborhood Market was one of the two people wounded when someone opened fire outside the store. It happened just after 8 00 at the royal food supermarket on mcarthur boulevard on 76th avenue. A man outside the store was also wounded. The extent of his injuries still arent known. A worker at the market says bullets came through a window and gate striking the clerk. He is expected to survive. According to a worker we spoke with, several bullets were sent into their store. A call for help tonight as they look for a man who grabbed the young woman and dragged her to the ground before she managed to escape. The Woman Told Police she would attack on 17th street near jackson street on new years night. Police say a man wrapped his hands around the woman, and began dragging her into the sidewalk. Thats when she was able to run away. The man is described as African American in his early or mid 20s to early 30s about 57 or 58. He apparently had a strong odor of cigarettes. New developments in the kidnapping case of a 7yearold girl in antioch. The suspect admitted to kidnapping the girl but told a reporter that the crime was a cry for help. According to the contra costa times, David Douglas said its something i did as a cry out, as a situation im in right now that i cant get out of. Douglas says he did not molest the girl and he tried to calm her. According to the paper he said quote, i tried to think of something to tell her so i said, im an angel sent by god to get her. Douglas said he did not have a gun with him as police have said. But rather a stick. He said he went to the antioch marina where he was captured because hes homeless and thats where hes been sleeping. Those who know douglas say they are stunned by what happened. I think he must have took something and lost his mind temporarily. Because thats not him. Ive talked to him. Hes a nice guy. Hes a father. Reporter as for the 7year old girl she is doing well tonight according to her mother. And now police are praising a target employee for helping bring the ordeal to a swift end. Debora villalon is live in pittsburgh where he spoke to the woman and got her story. Reporter the suspect spent a lot of time at this target parking lot and walking in the store not realizing he was being watched. Roxanna ramirez spend her day spotting shoplifters. As a Loss Prevention specialists at target. Thats when she started following a man with a backpack behaving oddly in the mens department. He was acting really weird. Abnormal. The lack of rain in Northern California has water officials in one north Bay Community implementing water restrictions. Reporter here in calastoga a town famous for its water theres precious little of it right now. This is kimball reservoir the only reservoir in town. Normally by now all this would be full of water. That would be covered by 65 feet of water now theres barely 15 feet there. To give you an idea of low the water table is if i stood here a year ago i would be under water right now, the level came up to here. Theres a white line. Thats where we like to see it. Reporter that empty hole he says is supposed to supply half of the towns water supply. But the situation in calistoga is not dire at least not yet. Calistoga is one of many towns connected to the states Water Project which still has enough supply to get through this year. But another dry year after that could be bigger trouble. That would be a problem because if its not raining here, its not raining any where else in the state. And the states water availability is you know, pretty, pretty small right now as it is. Reporter calistoga has asked its residents to restrict their water usage. Outdoor irrigation is limited. People should sweep their patios and walk ways not use water. We all need to conserve. And its awful to see the hills that were lush and green all brown and burned. Some of the other water agencies we called including northern marin county are advising counties to preserve water for irrigation. But in calistoga some residents say good Water Management is crucial right now. I dont think its a crisis. But we have to be smart. Reporter this proposal would require the private commuter shuttle to pay one dollars any time they use any of these public nummi bus stops but some say it doesnt go far enough. Every day shuttle buses take commuters to work. The shuttles are a perk that commuters say benefit everyone in the city. I mean it keeps me from having to drive. It allows me to work where i work and it keeps San Francisco from being overrun by an enormous volume of cars. Reporter but last month protesters blocked a google shuttle bus. Critics say highly paid tech workers are getting a free ride by free loading off Public Transit causing delays for muni drivers. And in cases, those same type workers are displacing working families by driving up rent. What were going to see is displacement. What were going to see is people that have lived in their homes for 30 some odd years have to leave. Reporter today sfm ta is proposing a pilot program. Partnered with google and genentech running shuttle buses. This plan would allow the shuttle buses to access 200 of those stops. That would bring in about 1. 6 million during the 18 month pilot. Shuttles would be required to yield to muni buses and avoid steep and narrow streets. The issue of affordable housing, supervisor scott weiner says it is a problem but tech workers are not to blame. The fbi says the daily city man has admitted to setting fire to the chinese consulate in San Francisco. As ktvus David Stevenson reports, investigators say the suspect claimed he was hearing voices. Reporter the fbi today said 39yearold jo sen of daily city was the figure seenlighting seenlight seen lighting a fire in the consulate forces. He set fire to the consulate because all the voices he was hearing were in chinese. And the consulate must have been involved. Federal investigators say they chose they saw a man approach. The criminal complaint says he then called 911 on january 3rd and told daily city police through a mandarin translator that he made the fire at the consulate. He called the department advised them of what had occurred. And they of course responded very quickly and came in. For myself im not very familiar with his name. Pot was just 15 years old when she died. The attitudes of americans about legalizing marijuana have made a major turn around at a new cnn poll. The poll finds 54 of americans now say marijuana should be legal. 44 disagree. But many still have reservations about marijuana. 50 say its addictive and 43 believe it is harmful.
