Reporter ironically, the bridge deck lights are designed to shine from behind the driver, but when you reach the tunnel, you get a full blast of light in the face. The old florescent bulbs have been replaced by l. E. D. Lights, and right now, theyre on full daytime settings all day. The 460 new l. E. D. Lights make the passage brighter and cleaner, but many drivers say at night, its blinding. Its very bright. It blinds me sometimes. The tunnel lights are very, very bright. Its very hard to see. The light was bright. It was irritating my eyes. Were still working on the control system to make the necessary adjustments. Reporter illumination is measured in what is called a foot canal. Right now, the light approaching the tunnel is about 3foot candles. But when they enter the tunnel, the measurement jumps to 20. Were still working to find the right number of circuits that needs to be on at night. He says they have installed a sensor to measureambient light to measure. We will probably have one every 15 feature to be on at night. Reporter the chp said their officers have commented on the bright lights, but so far, the lights havent caused any accidents. M. , august 28, a man doning a full face mask and white gloves climbed through the drive through window. He ordered the workers into the freezer and not to come out for 30 minutes. Authorities say the fast food manager almost got away with it, but got greedy, and targeted another mcdonalds five days later in san mateo. He put the girls in the freezer in the back, then he took the manager that was working, and took him to the safe. A guest at the Extended Stay Hotel found Javier Guerrero passed out in a stairwell in october of 2011. He was dressed for a Halloween Party with a toy gun in his waist band, officers say he reached for it when they tried to wake him up. Four officers fired hitting Gonzalez Guerrero 20 times but he survived. It is said to be the largest moment paid for a case involving police contact. A former tsa security screener is under arrest tonight for threats that referred to something even worse than 9 11. These are pictures of the 29 yearold, from a religious website. I believe that all americans should stop and take a moment on 9 11 to remember. Chris did just that, bringing his 6yearold son jacob to napas new memorial garden. This labor of love took hundreds of people, thousands of hours and four years to complete. One of the hardest parts, getting these 30 tons of steel from new york to napa. A bill on assault weapons passed the state assembly today, and is now headed to Governor Brown. The bill would ban the kits that convert guns to assault type weapons. Its a loophole on californias ban on those types of weapons. Its one of three gun control measures before the governor, but no word whether hell sign it. New rules for fracking are expected to pass the state senate tomorrow, and Governor Brown plans to sign them. Fracking is the procedure where water, sand, and chemicals are forced deep into the earth to release natural gas and oil. The bill would require drillers to disclose what chemicals they use, obtain permits, and notify nearby homeowners. Environmentalists say the rules dont go far enough. So with that very deep marine layer over 2,000 feet, temperatures took a hit. Down further. We had triple digit heat just a couple of days ago. Some areas almost 30 degrees cooler than two days ago. Theyve got to warm up tomorrow by a few degrees. So slightly warmer tomorrow. When you get going, temperatures and cloud cover are going to be pretty much like we had this morning, which means clouds for most of the bay area.
