And then what you do is you take your clubs and I use like if you've got little ish plums like the Italian prune plums you want to use about 2 dozen of them you're going to cut them in half and take out the pits but leave them in beautiful house if you can because that lets makes it pretty and you're going to put them skin side up on top of the batter and you're just going to squeeze a lemon juice on it squeeze a little put a little bit a sprinkle of salt and are not salt rather sugar and cinnamon on top. And you just kind of stick them into the top of the batter a little bit in a springform pan you know the one of the ones that has the thing edge so you grease that and put it all in there you pour in the batter put the plums on top put it in a 357 for about an hour and I always put a tray under my pies and tarts and stuff because if they bubble over it kind of causes or. It catches the drips a bit and you just you test it with a q. Or something to see if the middle comes out clean if it does then it's ready so I start checking it about 45 minutes if it's supposed to bake for an hour because everybody's ovens a little different and you never know how much moisture is in your flour and that will affect baking time as well just take it out cool it and you can serve it warm cold with whipped cream with ice cream whatever for breakfast because it's just it's just kind of a quick bread cake like a big muffin but you to feel plums on it. Really delicious and use them right now he's any stone fruit you want but the plums make it really really pretty and then what happens is that plum juice kind of bleeds into the top of the cake and get that beautiful purple staining that happens in the upper regions of the cake that's lovely Yeah it's just very very fancy and special and it's super easy you can do it in then you can do it like while you're making dinner you can just throw it in the oven and then it's ready for breakfast the next day it's perfect Yes super easy and you know and I won't be too sweet for breakfast I don't think it's too sweet it doesn't have a lot of sugar. In it for like a whole tard having only a cup of sugar isn't very much and is it about bums but yeah the plums are already sweet you just want a little bit of sugar on top just to harmonize it and yet so use basically like a big fruit muffin sounds good to me the next time sweet enough to me to say that I have a big sweet tooth so the other thing is this is a cake that will freeze beautifully so if you wrap it up in cling wrap a couple times and then stick it is a plus baggie and pull the air out of it. You know freeze and you can pull it out like in the dead of winter could you make it a little one you could they're not going to freeze as well because they have more surface area Ok so that's the only caution on that Ok but you can definitely make these as individuals you can do them in a muffin pan with just a half a plum on top of each one Ok Have you ever heard of this tradition I know it happens in. In western Pennsylvania but I don't know how. How widespread it is where if somebody gets married they make a ton of different cookies and all the cookies are there to spread at the wedding that they have given out and so it's usually the bride's family who does it just wasn't something like that or to be and I think it's the bride's family it's somebody who's family ends up doing it and they and you have to make so many of them you have to freeze the cookies and I've never ever heard of that tradition but I think it's lovely. Right now yeah yeah you know and the other thing is like if you're if your guns are on the cookie and good exchange coming up in the holidays you know if you made you made stuff like this ahead of time and then it would be perfect and it would be like a real wowser because it's months and months like we're just getting the tail end of summer fruit now those things like peaches and plums and stuff are not going to be available except coming from the other end of the earth and in the freezer and just it's a wrapped up good and tight at least 2 layers and all the air is out it just you don't want to freeze or burn on that anymore really down to and so I I know people who will do so. Do a clean film do tune foil and then do is it top baggie and suck all the air out of it that seems to work pretty pretty well it really does depend on your freezer for your freezer is really consistent and doesn't go through that freeze thaw freeze thaw it should be fine older fridge freezer are going to be more susceptible to freezer burn because as it starts to thaw it'll cause the moisture to come to the surface and then that will crystallize and that will penetrate and then it just it's like a recurring cycle you know that about older freezers they're just not as efficient or consistent now more modern freezers are really well insulated and they tend not to have fluctuations in temperatures once you don't even open all the time Ok so the more you know I know I will go a lot of your hands and a little bit of there is at the Laundromat the other day and they were then and the guy that was there cleaning it was telling me about how the older washing machines use more water than a newer one it's true and it's true and I found that pretty interesting Yeah well everything is being geared to be more energy efficient more water efficient. Just to be more careful of their resources and he went through and showed me all the different machines that were the best ones of washing your clothes it's true that the plague suite is the next. Well wherever he is that was really kind it was really kind of him yeah I think that he usually he cleans the laundromat at night and doesn't have a lot of people to talk to right.
