There could be up to two feet there. And travel will be all but shut down across eight states. So this system started in the midwest and so hardest hit was chicago which got its first significant snowfall since december. That video shows brown hours before the incident in the same store he was accused of robbing. Abcs Steve Osunsami has the details. Reporter this new video may cast a different light on the events that led to the Police Shooting death that started a movement. And it had people protesting in the streets yet again with reports of shots fired. Shots fired. When Michael Brown was killed on the streets of ferguson, missouri, in 2014, this was the video police shared just days after the shooting. The shooting victim is seen with his hands around a shopkeepers neck as he makes off with a carton of cigarillos. Going to be a black male in a white tshirt. Police called what happened here a strong Armed Robbery and argued that brown brought the same level of violence to his confrontation minutes later with the Ferguson Police officer who killed him. But this new video from the same store suggests that brown had left the cigarillos at the corner store the night before and that people working there had exchanged the tobacco for drugs, something that appears to be happening here. The filmmaker who discovered the video says it was recorded at 1 13 a. M. August 9th nearly 11 hours before brown returned to the store. Were doing this for mike. Were not just doing this to uncover about ferguson. Reporter the video is part of a documentary called stranger fruit, that debuted at a texas Film Festival this weekend. It suggests his argument was about him getting back his things. They wanted us to think that michael robbed the store because they needed to us think that michael was aggressive with darren. We have a low pressure system thats going to intensify as it moves to the north. Whiteouts rate of 2 to 3 inches per hour. Which means we could have some areas receive one, two, and even three feet of snow in some areas. We have the threat of thundersnow. If this isnt enough, this low combined with the other one that moved across from the midwest, theres another part of this thats really a big problem. We have strong winds along the entire east core. 40 to 60mileperhour winds that will accompany this storm system as it strengthens and moves up the east coast. So yes, its a serious storm. It is a meteorological monster and its ripping its way right up the east coast. Thats a lot to take in, paul. But the big question now, how long will this all last . Okay. Im glad you said that because we talked about it being difficult to track initially. Now heres the latest model run. Starting at about 6 00, we can see this is just rain right here. But the blue were talking about the snow, the darker blue is the trouble area. Were looking at a foot or more of snow. We start to see it moving by 7 30. Its heading down to the d. C. Area over towards new york, philadelphia. Watch that by lunchtime, new york getting pounded. New york getting pounded by this snow by noon. Spicer explained he didnt mean the term in a literal sense. The key it seems is the quotation marks. The president used the word wiretap in quotes to mean broadly surveillance and other activities. He literally had it in quotes. He said they were in quotes. It was referring to surveillance overall. So whatever surveillance the president meant, the Justice Department now has until monday to provide proof. And there has been predictably a partisan reaction to a new report about the Republican Health care plan backed by President Trump. Congressional budget analysts say the plan won result in 14 million americans losing their coverage next year and by 2026 that, number would rise to 24 million. Those numbers have House Democrats now urging republicans to stop working on this bill, but House Speaker paul ryan says the republican plan is better than obamacare because it doesnt force people to buy expensive coverage and he has the backing of President Trump. The house plan will expand choice, lower costs and ensure Health Care Access for all. Were negotiating with everybody. Its a big fat beautiful negotiation. The report also found that the plan would significantly reduce the deficit. So far that current plan has been approved by two house committees. Speaker ryan wants the full house to consider it next week. Even if it is approved by the house, the bill faces an unclear future in the senate.
