One passenger describing her Young Children screaming and crying. An explosion, smoke, and the plane violently shaking. This morning, stunning new images of an inair emergency. Sounds like an 18wheeler tire blowing. And you started smelling smoke. Reporter this southwest flight from new orleans to orlando suffering a catastrophic engine failure midair. Were descending. Reporter out of the 737s left windows, the 99 passengers on board had a clear view of the mangled engine housing as oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling. I looked out the window. I could see metal pieces flapping in the wind. Children were screaming and crying. Reporter in the cockpit, the pilots, breathing heavily through their own oxygen masks, are running through an emergency checklist. Disengaged. Affected engine confirmed. Were down to the line. This was an explosive event with this engine. It put hot metal into the cabin. Therefore losing the cabin pressurization. The masks dropped down. People are having to get on oxygen masks. Reporter the malfunction forcing the plane to divert to pensacola, dropping over 20,000 feet in just eight minutes. My ears started popping pretty bad. Theyre in an emergency descent. Theyre trying to take care of a sick engine. And do this all the while, making sure that the passengers are okay. Reporter the boeing 737 landing safely in pensacola, only about 30 minutes after takeoff. Southwest writing in a statement, initial reports indicate there were no injuries among the 99 passengers and 5 crew members on board. Adding, its cooperating with an ntsb investigation. Our flight expert Steve Ganyard saying that these kinds of incidents are extremely rare. Still, it makes you think to pay more attention to that safety briefing when you get on the plane. We got a female shot in the head. Reporter 32yearold Nykea Aldridge was pushing her newborn baby in a stroller on chicagos south side when she was killed, caught by crossfire. Well, its not uncommon that people inside and outside the government are in touch and even asking for favors. But these emails are between Clinton Foundation staff and secretary clintons senior staff on behalf of the major donors. To the foundation. So, thats the real issue here. Were they getting favors from the state department because of their donations to the foundation . Theres been nothing proven. But lots of questions about the appearance of a conflict. Dan. And martha, its only august. Do you think this conservative group, citizens united, thats releasing these email, do you think they may have a bigger bomb to drop come october . Paula, what we do know is that clinton and her lawyers say she turned over all workrelated emails to the state department from her private server. Yet, the fbi found nearly 15,000 more during their investigation. Those 15,000plus emails on the server from clinton staffers will continue to drip out until election day. And, maybe even after that. Adding, to me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. Some fans supporting him. Others outraged. I dont think it helps the cause any. Former running back tiki barber writing he disagrees with kaepernicks actions but defending him for using his platform and brand to make a compelling and polarizing point. In scotland, police have arrested two United Airlines pilots at glasgow airport. As they were getting ready to board a flight to pilot, that when they were accused of being under the influence. The pilots have been removed from service and from their flying duties. New details this morning about the suspect in the stabbing deaths of two nuns in a Small Community in mississippi. Police saying 46yearold Rodney Sanders has confessed that he killed sister margaret held and sister Paula Merrill in their home on thursday. He has a criminal past spanning three decades. He was released from prison last december. Police not revealing yet a motive for that crime. And u. S. Border patrol agents in california hit the jackpot when they stopped two men they say were driving to mexico. Take a look at what they found. Money. Lots of money. More than 3 million in cash. This new test has the ability to tell us how old the blood is. So if the blood is from 1996, it was planted. If its from 2005 it wasnt. All lanes of northbound 101 have just reopened after being closed following aban officerinvolved shooting. The chp says the man was walking on the freeway and did not comply with officers to get off. They then used a taser on the man, who they say then took out a knife and lunged toward an officer. Thats when one officer opened fire and shot him.
