[ sirens ] First Responders trying to douse this fastmoving fire covering over 500 acres on multiple fronts, from the air and the ground. Fending off flames from suburban neighborhoods. We have over 200 firefighters on the line at this point in time. We do have a number of structures threatened. We do have mandatory evacuations in place, as well. Reporter in calabasas the fire cutting across mountains and hills damaging several structures. Thousands of residents rattled, including one of this neighborhoods most famous. This is our city. We were born and raised here. There is a fire next to my house. Am i going to have to evacuate . Reporter witnesses reporting a truck hit this power pole knocking it down, a transformer exploding, sparking the fire. Forcing 3,000 homes to be evacuated. Some holding out hope the fire wont reach their doorsteps including this woman taking matters into her own hands. I think its awful and scary. Everyone is leaving. I live two blocks away. We dont know if we have to evacuate or not. All the way up there. Reporter miles away in temecula, crews tackling flames and heavy, dark Smoke Running up alongside this busy highway. She won the Virgin Islands yesterday, likely to do well in puerto rico today. Fewer than 16 delegates away from having the delegates she needs to get the nomination. So its almost the math doesnt work for Bernie Sanders here. So it could be embarrassing but it wont change the outcome. So one last question, in your interview, you press her hard on the ongoing email controversy. How much of a cloud is this over her campaign . Well, it continues to dog her and she had that tough state Department Inspector general report that i questioned her about where that said the use of the personal server was not approved. We begin with breaking news overnight coming from memphis, tennessee, a Police Officer killed attempting to clear a street during a shooting spree in the downtown area of that city. Officer hit at pyramid. Ambulance is en route, ambulance is en route. The dispatch called just after Police OfficerVerdell Smith was struck by the suspect as he tried to flee after allegedly shooting three people, two of them inside a bar. Two of the three are in Critical Condition and the suspect now in police custody. Officer smith was an 18year veteran of the Memphis Police department. And in texas, officials at ft. Hood army base are releasing the names of eight of the nine soldiers killed last thursday when their vehicle was washed away in a training exercise. So far we know that two female and six male officers died in that incident. The name of the ninth soldier who was killed is being withheld until his family is notified. Three other soldiers in that vehicle survived. The u. S. Navy is now launching air strikes against isis targets in syria and iraq from the mediterranean sea. Dan markel was gunned down inside the garage of his florida home, and now days after an arrest, police say they now have a motive. Abcs eva pilgrim has more. Reporter this morning, new details into the shocking murder of a beloved Florida State law school professor. The drivers side window is all bashed in, and hes got blood all over his head. Reporter dan markel found fatally shot in his car. Detectives now linking his murder to his bitter divorce and custody battle with exwife wendi adelson. Her family and sigfredo garcia, one of the suspected killers arrested in connection with markels murder. Were continuing to investigate their connection to any family members or anybody else who knew professor markel. Reporter cops say none of the adelson family are considered suspects but Court Documents showing a connection between adelsons brother charlie and garcia. Was it a murder for hire . It is not a random act but points out a lot of information and connections between them and their phone records. Reporter investigators saying charlie had a very personal relationship with the mother of two of garcias children. Garcia is planning to plead not guilty. Theres a lot of speculation, a coincidence or two but nothing that is going to put my client in tallahassee with a gun responsible for this murder. Reporter police say charlie did not like or get along with his former brotherinlaw and in this affidavit suggests the motive for markels murder stems from the desire of the adelson family to relocate wendi and the children to south florida and also detailing that adelsons mother donna was upset a divorce judge kept them hundreds of miles away from his exwifes family in south florida. They were real at the time. And thats nap time. My advice for new parents, the big thing is that its going to be okay and even i can do it, you have to know its not real. Its like youre on a threemonth trippy period where dont believe anything you see. Dont believe how ugly it gets. Youll get past it. And always use the brake on the stroller. Our child just rolled away from us more than three times on sidewalks. Mommy just messed up. Yes, so i think not to get too dark, ron was teasing me in that, but but i think the big thing when people have a baby you expect it to be like an Instagram Post where its the best moment of your life, joyful experience and max and i went into it saying thats not what were feeling.
