The Severe Weather has dumped at least eight inches of rain in parts of texas not sparing this bar in palestine, customers wading through kneedeep water. And ferocious winds have worked their way through georgia, sending this tree through a house, splitting it nearly in half. In western arkansas, this mountain finally giving way. And new details this morning about that deadly carnival accident in texas that killed one teenager and injured another when they were tossed from a spinning ride. The New York Daily News reports that another girl on the same ride complained that her seat belt did not buckle. That teen is said to have clung to the unfastened belt to keep from being thrown from that ride. She was unarmed. Breaking news, a Freight Train has derailed outside of washington, d. C. Closing the rhode island avenue metro station. More than nine cars believed to have overturned. At least one licking an unidentified liquid. Officials are treating it as a hazmat scene while they investigate. No reported injuries. An investigation under way in boston after a deadly crash involving a duck boat, the tour vehicle striking and killing a 29yearold woman riding a scooter. Her passenger also hit. But not seriously injured. 30 people were on the duck boat at the time. The cause of that crash is unknown and under investigation. It turned into a fourday nightmare for mom and daughter. I know. So scary. But luckily a very happy ending, so it happens to College Students all the time. Youre studying abroad. And your parents come for a visit, so you want to show then the cool sights, right, but when rachel lloyds mother carolyn came to visit her in new zealand, what was meant to be a funfilled day taking in the sights turned into a frightening fight for survival. The words seen from the air written in rocks and stones. Simply spelled out help. I was scared to death. I thought they wouldnt find us. Reporter americans Carolyn Lloyd and her daughter, rachel, lost for four days, after taking what was supposed to be a quick picturesque hike in new zealand. I took a tumble in the water, hit my head on a rock pretty bad. I knew she was she was fading on me. She was fading. It was terrifying. As a mother, its terrifying. Reporter huddled together for warmth with barely any food, rachel, a unc graduate, felt death closing in. I was speaking with my mom. I was actually had to go through kind of my dying wishes, which was the hardest thing, you know, watching my mom watch me suffer and die, slowly. Reporter thats when moms survival instincts and heroism kicked in. My mom was incredible. She carried me on her back for a little while when she could. Reporter the pairs rental car found abandoned at the park two days after their disappearance. Teams of dogs, helicopters and Emergency Personnel dispatched to find them. They stayed together. Theyll stay warm, and theyve rationed their resources out. Its just like a heartbreaking story, right, but incredibly quick thinking by both of them. It was the homemade sign by mom, carolyn, that got the attention of a rescue chopper, and they were both taken to a hospital where they were treated for dehydration and exhaustion. But theyre expected to make a full recovery which is just remarkable. You know . Seems like theyre doing well. Yeah, i mean, they were rationing peanuts and crackers during this time. Reporter hey, paula and dan. There is a desperate search right now, officers, even marine units are searching the woods where the young mother liked to walk, using dogs and heatseeking cameras. This morning, her family is just incredibly concerned. This morning, authorities searching for any sign of what may have happened to this florida mother after she seemingly vanished. Who are you . I dont know. Reporter according to police, 30yearold tricia todd was last seen late tuesday night when she and her exhusband brought their sick 2yearold daughter to the hospital. But the next morning when she was supposed to pick the toddler up from her exs house, her family says todd was nowhere to be found. Her brother certain something was wrong when todd, a nurse, still hadnt shown up to get her child by 8 00 p. M. She had always bent over backwards for the sake of her little girl. Reporter later that night, police found todds car at a neighbors house, the keys still in the ignition, her purse inside, but her phone and wallet missing. By thursday, investigators were poring through cell phone and credit card records looking for clues. Her disappearance is extremely suspicious, and the worst possibility would be that she is a victim of a crime. Reporter according to authorities, the last person to see todd, was her exhusband, stephen williams, who works for the air force and has now returned to North Carolina where hes stationed. Williams tells abc news hes fully cooperating with the investigation. And the Sheriffs Office says he is not considered a suspect. Overnight, her family telling abc news, they will do whatever it takes to bring the young mother home safe and sound. We know shes out there somewhere, and we just want our girl back. Reporter all weekend, volunteers have been papering the neighborhood with posters as police took to the woods and the skies to look for the missing mother. Its a big area. I wouldnt say its a needle in a haystack, but its real close. Reporter and just this weekend, tricia todd didnt show up to work, adding even more suspicion after she didnt pick up her daughter. Her brother saying, you could put her through a hurricane and shed still go pick up that little girl. So many questions. So she dropped her daughter off and basically vanishes. Places like texas picked up about seven inches of rain in a short amount of time yesterday. So the flooding threat does continue there. Lets take you to the map. This is where we do have still Winter Weather advisories and winter storm warnings here mainly across parts of new mexico. This is where we could see four to sixplus inches of snow. So something to watch out for there. Spring snow. Area of low pressure across the north and east. This is going to bring active weather. Scattered showers. And also cooler temperatures.
