The driver struck several cars stopped at a red light veering down the road. Look at this. Before ending in a violent crash in the San Fernando Valley and then out of a suspects car a woman carrying a child. They had been in the car all that time the car was being chased by police. Several people had to be rescued from the cars that were hit by the fleeing car. One of those drivers now in serious condition. The woman as well as the driver of that car the police were after in custody now. And now to oregon where a manhunt is under way right now for a suspect accused of shooting a Police Officer overnight. The officer from the Lane County Sheriffs Office outside of eugene, oregon, was responding to a call about shots fired. When he arrived, a gunman shot him. The 18year veteran is in stable condition. And investigators have found new emails between Hillary Clinton and former general David Petraeus that were never turned over by the former secretary of state. The messages were exchanged with general petraeus when he led the militarys u. S. Central command responsible for running the wars in iraq and afghanistan. They began before clinton entered office and continued into her first days at the state department. The email discovery challenges clintons claim that she has handed over the entirety of her work emails from her private server. Reporter this morning, one man lucky to be alive after a group of motorists turned into first responders. Theyre reporting overturned vehicle, 400 at 285 requesting a single engine, tractor trailer overturned with leakage. Reporter their heroic efforts caught on camera as they frantically rushed to the rescue on this busy georgia freeway where a tractor trailer and a tanker careened off of an overpass and lay smashed next to each other on the road below. We got to get them out of that truck, yall. Reporter as the Good Samaritans raced in to help, the reality of what they were facing set in. Check the car to see if theres children in there. Check to see if someone needs cpr. Reporter highways closed and people stranded for hours after a tractor trailer and tanker carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel collided. The crash causing them to plunge off a bridge, both trucks overturned. Get back. Its starting a fire. Reporter as the smoke emerges from that overturned tanker, the driver still trapped inside. Oh, my god. Get him out of there. Reporter you can see here the driver trying to climb out of the overturned truck reaching out for help. The Good Samaritans struggling to free him from the wreckage. Back up away from the fuel leak, please. Reporter now, two other drivers somehow managed to escape this crash without being seriously hurt. This morning, the teenager hailed as a hero speaking out about this viral video seen by thousands prompting an investigation by authorities. Watch as an alleged bully appears to attack a fellow student who police say is visually impaired hitting him several times in the head before cody pines leaps in, knocking the alleged bully to the ground with one punch. Hes my friend, and i know his problems, and thats what made me so mad was that he was picking on a kid that doesnt need to be picked on. [ bleep ]. You jump a blind kid . Reporter abc news reached out to the alleged bully. He didnt return our messages but did tweet about the incident saying i never knew the kid was blind. Really the past couple of days and theres the shot for you as the surf rolls in, some of the buoys offshore are reporting 10, 12footers so good swells today and beach erosion is going to continue to be an issue. Also coastal flooding. Weve got a full moon tomorrow night. So thats kind of exacerbating it three, four, five feet above average, new bern, north carolina. High over low. This is kind of a blocking system which means the northeast looks great but the midatlantic just miserable the past few days and look at all these advisories. We have high surf advisories, coastal flood warnings, rip currents as well so if you are heading towards the beach, it is still warm out there. Just be aware of that and heavy rain with this system. We could see flooding across the coastal areas of north carolina, 2, 3 inches of rainfall potentially there. Watches are posted. A quick check on whats going on in the tropics, this system east of the bahamas may develop into something, more concerned about this thing over the yucatan forecast to get in the gulf of mexico. At this point not strengthening to a monster but well certainly watch it. It will bring more in the way of rain across the coast of florida and alabama and mississippi next week.
