Reporter this morning, with this move, president obama is dramatically increasing the footprint on the ground in syria. For years hes resisted putting Ground Forces there. This new bloiment of up to 250 forces remains a fivefold increase in the syrian chaos. These are not combat troops. Their job is not to engage the enemy. Instead they say theyll be assisting local Kurdish Forces aligned with the u. S. , gathering intelligence and training and advising those local force. Terry, pretty significant shift, why now . Now to a terrifying shooting outside a High School Prom, a small town in wisconsin looking for answers this morning after an 18yearold opened fire on two students before Police Fatally shot him. Reporter this morning, police in antigo, wisconsin, trying to understand why this 18yearold allegedly ambushed his former classmates walked out of their High School Prom. We have another shooting. We have an open door to the school and the school needs to be cleared. Reporter police say jackob wagner is a former student at the high school. His Instagram Account recently displaying this gun. Police say he armed himself with a highpower rifle and he opened fire on a teenage boy and girl as they left the dance. One victim, a young man hit in the leg, his date grazed by a bullet. Both rushed to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. I was completely in disbelief when i heard that there was a shooting here. Reporter prom goers put on lockdown. Police on scene to provide security stopping what some fear could have been a massacre. One of the officers was able to stop that threat, engage the subject. We dont know what led to it. Thats part of the investigation. Reporter School Officials praised officers, their quick actions prevented what might have otherwise been a disaster of unimaginable proportions. School officials said wagner graduated from Antigo High School last year. But still volunteered in art classes at the school. The office of civil rights investigating 178 schools of their handling of Sexual Violence cases. Theyre among the cases. They were both assaulted at fraternities offcampus. And their school told them they wouldnt do anything about it. It was terrifying. Reporter this morning, two younger students suing Kansas State University claiming they neglected to investigate their rapes. By fellow students are breaking their silence. The only thing i hope to gain is that nobody has to have the same experience as us. Sara and tessa both 21 years old filing separate federal lawsuits against the school after they say School Officials refused to investigate their separate reports of rape and Sexual Assault because they occurred off campus. Both lawsuits citing under title 9 if a student files a complaint with a school, regardless of where the conduct occurred the school must process the complaint in accordance with its established procedures. I went to the offices and they gave me a lot of back and forth. I answered a lot of questions. Ultimately they told me they couldnt investigate because it was offcampus. What kansas state seems to be ignoring victims of Sexual Violence keep feeling the effects of Sexual Assault long after the Sexual Assault itself. Reporter the school is at the center of four investigation for allegedly mishandling complaints of alleged Sexual Assaults against students. The University Reports in 2014, 16 rapes occurred, 6 offcampus. In a statement to abc news a spokesperson for Kansas State University said they cant comment on litigation matters. Adding the university has a strong policy prohibiting discrimination including Sexual Violence and provides a multitude of resources and assistance to students and employees. Sara and tessa want monetary damages and want the school to investigate their allegations. The fraternities arent named in the lawsuit. The county attorney not pressing charges in saras case while tessas case is still being investigated by authorities. Title xi is based on discrimination on gender. What are their chances . Based on their allegations i think they have great chances. The department of education, long before their cases told schools like kansas state you need to investigate claims like that even if theyre offcampus specifically at fraternities. They knew a lot of these functions might happen offcampus and put people in danger. So if what they say is true, they have very strong cases. Thats the key, even offcampus. It doesnt get spoken about. You can see this in women early as their 40s. It has to deal with changing hormone levels. Most people know all hormone changes as we go through menopause. Estrogen drops. Progesterone drops. That can affect hair blood flow to the scalp. But testosterone also drops. Thats where you get the male pattern symptoms. Thinning hair, hair loss, acne, the occasional chin hair, not fun. No one really talks about this aspect of this. On facebook, we have a video from ruth. Hi, dr. Ashton, im thinking about getting prp, how long before you see results . Such a great question. It really depends on whether youre using prp to treat thinning hair or hair loss. It has to do with the life cycle of the hair follicles. There are three basic stages. The first one, anagen. The active phase. Most of the hairs on our head are in this stage. So, okay, tory, first of all, lean and mean, thats what you like. I do like that. I think that you need to prove your concept before you sign a lease. So i started in my bedroom at a desk and started generating sales and i think thats exactly what you need to do before you go for all the fancy stuff. Focus on what matters the most. Its great theyre passionate. Lot of people at home saying im passionate about my business, too, but it goes beyond that. It definitely goes way beyond passion. Its great to find something that youre passionate about, but passion doesnt automatically produce a paycheck. To create a profitable business takes a lot more than just passion. You did this because you started with something that you love but then you had a plan about how am i going to make money doing this . I think thats whats critical for anyone to focus on how am i going to make money from this passion . What are the steps to get there to making money so that this can be a profitable business. Not just a passion. And its a growing business. You have five new varieties coming to the market. We have five new varieties of our fluff butter. Proteinenhanced nut butter. Its not tastefree. Its not tastefree, thats the most important part. Okay, you guys have had success, but you have had those rough times as well, tell me what you have learned from those mistakes that you made. Absolutely, i made so many mistakes starting out. Its unbelievable. The biggest thing that ive learned is, how do you keep up with production when you have a highdemand product . One thing we had problems with is literally doing that. We havent spent a dime on marketing. Yet our production isnt supporting demand. And you didnt put something on the label about peanuts. I dont like to talk about that one. Forgetting the allergy warning and throw out a bunch of products, but you learn. Venture for america, how did they help you . Its program thats geared towards creating jobs through entrepreneurship. I was fortunate to go through the program and it provided me with mentorship. Someone checked in me every month and helped me as i began my business. If theres one thing that i can say for anyone starting, if you can find a mentor who will push you towards the next step it makes a huge difference. Okay, we asked people to send in their questions, and that was one from joann, what is the best way to ask someone to become a mentor, tory . You can look for formal programs like you did. But if you dont pursue a formal program think of it first in terms of marriage, you wouldnt ask a stranger right off the bat, like, will you marry me . You get to know somebody before you pop the question. The same is true with mentoring. Surround yourself with people who are really good with business. Maybe in different areas of business. Ask them questions. Tweet people questions. You can call people and email. It doesnt have to be only a formal environment. And once you get to someone and theyre comfortable, and they feel like they can help you, which any mentor wants to do, then you can say, will you be my mentor . I want to get one more in, whats the key to using social media most effectively to promote your business . Because i think you guys have done that as well. Engage regularly, thats critical. Small Business Owners say im on facebook, doesnt work. Sitting back and expecting the phone to ring doesnt work. So you have to have a regular strategy.
