In the meantime, the ranchers whose arson charges started all this say they dont support what is going on here. They plan to report to prison peacefully later today as scheduled. We have to be willing to say, look, well do what it takes to defend our rights. If not, theyll be taken away. If its peaceful, why are you armed . Alleging that the government tried to pull fast one by deporting him, not extraditing him. The process which could take up to a year. If they wanted to, they could pay him as much money as they want to to drag this thing out. Reporter the 18yearold and his mother, tonya, fleeing texas after this video went viral. Allegedly showing him at a boozy party in possible violation of a drunk driving penalty. That killed four in 2014. Ethan skipped his probation. Hes not facing a lot of time. Because in juvenile court. First thing is get transferred to an adult court. If the prosecutors are able to do that, then he faces up to 120 days. If it doesnt get transferred to adult court, he could be facing less than that. Regardless, hes facing very little time behind bar. Why not come back, serve the time, get it over with . Instead, hes in a dingy mexican Detention Center serving more time. Despite what the mothers lawyer is saying, youre saying she could face significant jail time. She faces up to two to ten years. Shes got real legal arguments. She could argue she didnt know this was a felony. Shell argue there wasnt a felony in place. She could meaning he wasnt, at the time, a convicted felon. She will say it was a probation violation. Therefore, the hindering apprehension claim shouldnt be applicable here. Miss universe is here. So everybody has been anticipating to finally get the crown. We finally did it. Initially, miss colombia, crowned the winner, was very gracious. Now shes come out and said shes grieving and shes devastated. Have you spoken to her . I did greet her on her birthday, christmas day. I was able to ask her how shes doing. She seems like shes okay. I understand how she feels. Im also concerned with her and i know that she is a beautiful young lady. With very talented. And i think that shell have a lot of other opportunities. Shell do very well, im sure. Lets put it all to rest right now. What do you want to say to fans of miss colombia who are very vocal on social media . I understand how they feel. Because, of course, they want their bet to win. Its completely understandable. If it was the other way around, im sure the filipinos would feel a little bit disappointed with the results. A lot of people have said, maybe you should share the crown. She agrees with that. Of course, im sure you heard, donald trump, who once owned a stake in Miss Universe, thought that was possibly a good idea. What is your position on that . I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share a crown. But i have high hopes that this will give great opportunities for me and miss colombia and the rest of the contestants. Youll be very busy. Your platform is raising awareness for hiv aids. Then what . Being a bond girl . Oh, yeah. Well, of course, that is one of my dreams. Hopefully, ill be able to do that. But right now, im focusing on i have the whole year ahead of me. I have these causes that i want to put some light into like hiv awareness and other causes that i personally believe in. You have often talked about, there are risks involved with the pill. Is a pharmacist the best person to be handling the situation . And obviously, this comes down to risk versus benefits. Low risk does not mean zero risk. The pill has a slightly increased risk of blood clots. An 8 failure rate in preventing pregnancy with typical use. Stating the obvious, a pharmacist is not a physician. Last night, i spoke to the president of the American Congress of obgyn. And they are clear. Theyre all for more access to contraception for women. But they do not think the pharmacist is the right person there. It puts another person, another barrier between a woman and that Birth Control. This is right in your wheelhouse. What do you want women to know . I think were facing a developing crisis in Womens Health care. For those paying attention, we have seen a dialing back in a lot of recommendations. Pap smears, pelvic exams, mammograms, now this. I think ultimately that has a real risk of jeopardizing Womens Health, not improving it. I would encourage women to uncouple their regular yearly gyn exam. I think the more we do sugarcoat things, the the more unrealistic peoples expectations are. Then theyre disappointed in the end. If we can say it how it is, everyone knows what to expect. Theyll achieve their goals sooner. It will be more sustainable. Thats the key. We keep talking about sugar. We have it in our diet. We have too much of it. Thats the biggest problem. Tip number three. We really want to focus on this. Start i want to say dont eliminate sugar. Start reducing sugar in our diet by just try removing a soda a day or some kind of sweetened juice a day. By removing one soda a day, were taking almost 1 1 2 cups out of our diet of sugar every single week. Over five cups a month. Thats just by eliminating one . Yes. And its wreaking havoc on our body. Instead, substitute with a sweetened water. You need the sweetener in the water. I do. Im a normal person. I hate drinking regular water. I love to have my water sweetened. Guilty as charged. But its good for you. Salt. Its in places we dont think it is. It is. In the average american diet, it has twice as much sodium as our bodies really need. We need to reduce the salt. Cured meats, lunch meats. Highsodium deli meats. Canned soups. Lets just get em out of our diet. We dont even need them. Salt, lets toss the salt shaker. Replace it with a lowsodium, saltfree seasoning. Why do you have this bag packed and ready to go . Whats up with that . Prepare for success. The night before, lay out the gym clothes, the gym bag. How is the experience different for you . I think being the lead. Is definitely different than being a cast member. You know youre not going home. You know youre going to be around. I think i wanted to make sure all these women felt like i appreciated them being there. Because i did. And thats kind of my responsibility to take. You appreciated them, but that doesnt stop the train from moving. You still have to say goodbye. Definitely. As the process goes on. What was that like . It was a lot harder than i thought. I saw the end result. You forget that theres a lot of heartbreak and pain to get there. Theres a lot of emotion through the experience. Without giving away any secrets, was there a moment where something happened that you were like, gosh, i wish this wouldnt be on camera . I wish i could not have this happen . When i signed up for it, i knew my life would be on display. I think the women that came on knew that their lives would be on display. You kind of roll with it. People are going to laugh and maybe cry with me. Ill be embarrassed at times. Maybe a kiss, a couple . Youll probably see me kissing sometimes. Look at you getting shy. And these type of characters, if you pull the curtain behind, theyre just as insecure and lonely and scared. Jimmy wants to be a good father and a good grandfather and eventually a boyfriend.
