Good morning. Take a look at the video. Its incredible. Another young boy also had a similar accident this weekend on a ski lift. Both boys survived. But, this morning, a safety alert for so many skiers. You can see the 9yearold boy dangling from the ski lift. People gathered two stories below, as the boy flails his legs. One ski still attached. Adrian delgado shot the video from his cell phone. They couldnt pull him because they would be rocking the lift. Reporter and then the moment where the boy plummets hitting the snow below, incredibly hes expected to be okay. He fell from 20 feet and injured his leg. That has to be a miracle. Reporter no word of what caused it. Authorities are investigating. And the resort is not commenting. Its not the first slip this season. On the very same day a 5yearold boy riding on a beginner chair lift by himself in montgomery county, pennsylvania plummeted 30 feet. The boy is reportedly in serious condition after he fell because the rail on his chair was not secure. And last month a similar incident in new york. And just days later, 10yearold Tyler Russell fell 20 feet from a lift in oregon. Then i said my foot is getting tired im going to put my foot behind my snowboard and then i was too much. Reporter one fall even turning deadly. A 44yearold brooklyn mother was killed at an upstate new york resort. Safety expert told abcs Clayton Sandell skiers need to make sure they are securely locked in the lift. You dont want to wiggle around. You want to get on and sit still. Reporter the ski industry says chair lifts are safe and secure noting that deaths are rare, 15 over the last four decades.
