It comes after police say a man detonated a suicide bomb at an Ariana Grande concert just as the show let out killing 22 people. Bethany keeling was right near the exit when the bomb went off. Saw like a flash, like an explosion flash. I grabbed my friends hand and we just ran, but we looked and we could see the bodies on the floor. Reporter the london tabloid the Sun Publishing the first picture of the alleged bomber, 22yearold salman abedi, born in britain to parents from libya. In their investigation, police blowing the door off his manchester home just miles from the concert arena looking for evidence including his phone and computer. I think the use of a bomb here as opposed to a car or a knife demonstrates a much higher degree of sophistication by this individual really suggesting that he probably did not act alone, that he probably had some help, that he certainly had some advice on how to create the bomb. Reporter as we learn more about the victims, saffie roussos, the youngest known victim at just 8 years old, a teacher remembered her as simply a beautiful little girl in every aspect of the word who was loved by everyone. 18yearold georgina callander, this is the teenage super fan pictured with grande here two years ago and 15yearold olivia campbell. Before knowing of her passing, olivias uncle stood at the hospital doors showing everyone her picture hoping for answers, and this morning, many, many more still missing. Breaking right now on the bomber a french official says abedi has proven links to isis. The interior minister says its believed he traveled to syria. His i. D. Was found at the scene. For a time he attended a local college before dropping out and he had returned from a visit to libya just days before the attack. He was on the radar of british authorities, as well. Abedi was a terror suspect in the uk. Mi5 were aware of him. They were aware he posed a potential threat. But they didnt think he posed the imminent threat that he obviously proved himself to do in manchester. And were hearing his brother may have been detained in one of the raids yesterday in the manchester neighborhood called moss side just a few miles from the concert arena. The area is considered by police to be a center of isis recruitment. Now, we saw that memorial that is growing there in manchester. But were also seeing public tributes all around the world to the manchester victims. Here in new york city overnight the lights on the Empire State Building were turned off to honor the victims. Elsewhere, the union jack was projected on the burj khalifa in dubai and on the Brandenburg Gate in berlin and over in hong kong the words we stand with the United Kingdom were on the side of a large bank building. A United Airlines 757 wide body jet was taking off from new york airport in northern new jersey when the control tower spotted flames shooting out of one of its engines. The flight was accelerating to take off. It did not take off and then it slowed down and the pilot at that point announced to the crew to evacuate without any further explanation, and then within 30 seconds we started evacuating. It was a bit chaotic but pretty smooth. Five people suffered minor injuries during the evacuation. The airport was completely closed to arriving and departing flights. This morning there are still a few residual delays at that airport. Passengers on that united flight to San Francisco left on another plane about five hours late. And breaking overnight the bodies of four climbers have been found inside a tent high up on mt. Everest. They were found at the highest camp on that mountain. The ten climbers have now died this season alone. A doctor from alabama was among those who died last weekend from altitude sickness. Dr. Roland yearwood was an experienced climber who actually survived a deadly earthquake on everest just two years ago. And here at home were taking a look at a deadly scene east of san jose, california, after a tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of gasoline overturned and erupted into a fireball killing the driver. 200 people in the area had to be evacuated. Authorities believe the truck was going too fast when the driver tried to exit the highway. And farther south a massive landslide buried a section of one of americas most scenic coastal highways under 40 feet of rocks. 40 feet deep in some places of the landslide on highway 1 cut off access to big sur. No word on how long that stretch of highway will now be closed. The weather has caused an estimated 1 billion in damage to california highways just this year.
