Ill just leave the Legal Process. This is about saving black lives. Reporter jurors told the judge they were deadlocked but he ordered them to continue deliberations yesterday. They still could make no progress toward a verdict on any of the four charges against officer William Porter for the death of 25yearold gray. Gray died after suffering a severe spinal injury in Police Custody back in april. His death sparking weeks of violent protests. Prosecutors say porter refused to put his seat belt on gray when he was transported in the back of this police van and ignored grays repeated requests for medical help. I hope that we do get a conviction somewhere because freddie is dead, and someone needs to be convicted. Reporter whether prosecutors will force porter to take the stand again in a retrial is not yet known. Some legal analysts speculate porter might be given immunity for his testimony against the five other officers who are also facing charges and whose cases could be affected by the prosecutions failure in this first attempt. In the meantime, baltimore leaders and grays family are urging a peaceful response.
