It likely took them a long time to find him because this mall is so big. Its still unclear why he did what he did. A sole gunman unleashes terror inside new jerseys Garden State Plaza mall monday night. It was no individual that was struck by anything, other than mr. Shoop taking his own life, with the weapon that he used to do the firing inside the mall. Reporter Police Believe the gunman, dressed in black, may have also been wearing a motorcycle helmet, as he fired several shots near the in order stomach department store. Investigators say they found a shell casing from an assault rifle. We ran in for our safety. From there on, we ran to the nearest exit. All we wanted to do was just get safe. A note was found pointing to the possibility motive. He does have a history of drug use and drug abuse.
