they were told to remove their belongings. and they would be allowed back after it was cleaned. >> demonstrators streamed into the surrounding streets. we talked to abc's rich esposito, who was in the middle of it. >> police were out in force, r with batons and shields. they've been driving protesters away from the park, as additional protesters have been streaming, from other parts of the city in, alerted by tweets and social media, to the scene at zuccotti park. >> as the crackdown began, police told protesters that their encampment was becoming a health and fire safety hazard. we'll have plenty more on the situation throughout the morning and a full report coming up on "good morning america." in other breaking news, this morning, jerry sandusky admitted he showered with boys. but the former penn state coach says he is not a pedophile. >> that's right. this is the first time sany, si first time i spoke to him after the scandal broke. now, there is word overnight that more alleged victims have come forward. tahman bradley has the details. >> reporter: jerry sandusky denies abusing young boys. telling nbc's bob costas in a phone interview, he may have horsed around. but he is not a pedophile. >> i say that i am innocent of those charges. >> innocent? completely innocent and falsely accused in every aspect? >> well, i could say that, you know, i have done some of those things. i have horsed around with kids. >> are you sexually attracted to young boys? to underage boys? >> am i sexually attracted to underage boys? >> yes. >> sexually attracted, no. i enjoy young people. i love to be around them. i -- no. i'm not sexually attracted to young boys. >> reporter: this was sandusky's first public denial of the 40 counts of sex crimes against young boys. published reports say up to ten additional suspected victims have come forward to authorities. sandusky's lawyer told cnn, his client can answer each of the accusations. >> jerry was in the shower with this kid. the kid was messing around, having a good time. he had mcqueary come in and see that. he felt uncomfortable. >> reporter: the eight boys that sandusky has been charged with abusing is part of his second mile foundation. where thomas day, who took part in the foundation, said the coach was larger than life. >> somebody like coach sandusky was, you know, almost a god. >> reporter: the chief executive of second mile resigned amid questions about whether the charity could have done more to protect children. t.j. and sunny?
