Here is meteorologist Francis Dinglasan in for lisa argen. The circulation counterclockwise off the coast, thats helping to push clouds into the bay area. So most of us still under gray skies, even patchy drizzle along parts of the coast and the north bay. Had to use the wipers this morning in San Francisco. Here is how the day plays out. In the 60s for the most part in the next hour or so. By lunch time, well be warming up. Still staying in the 60s at the coast, 70s around the bay and 80s inland today. It will be a few degrees cooler compared to yesterday. Ill have the accuweather sevenday forecast coming up. Developing news in San Francisco, police are searching for a woman who pepper sprayed two passengers aboard a b. A. R. T. Train. The incident happened around 8 30 last night at the e embarcadero. Police say the suspect tried to rob a woman, pepper sprade her and a male passenger, then ran from the station. It is unclear whether she made off with any stolen property. San Francisco Police are investigating a stabbing aboard a muni shuttle bus, happening after 9 00 last night at market and delores streets. Authorities say there were two passengers involved in the stabbing. No word yet on the extent of the injuries or if anyone has been arrested. This morning, there is tighter security at delores park after a triple shooting last week. Law enforcement joined neighbors during a movie night at the park last night to try to ease everyones fears with five suspects still on the loose. Abc 7 News ReporterLisa Gulezian reports. Reporter at the park, movie fans cut loose to footloose, under the watchful eye of police, park rangers and private security. You can see there is a lot of security here today, which makes us feel safer. Reporter this is the first major event at delores park since thursdays shooting. The suspects crossed the foot bridge into the park at church street, wearing bandannas and hoodies and started shooting at three people. A 16yearold boy, and a 37yearold and 69yearold man. Since thursday, san Francisco Police have upped patrols assigning two officers to the park daily, which diabete dnt unnoticed by this group. Were trying to be out of here by 5 00 sundown. Why . It is not the place sometimes. Because of the shooting you dont want to put yourself in a situation that could be a bad thing. Reporter but movie attendees didnt want to let thursdays shooting stop a tradition that makes San Francisco what it is. We just enjoy this too much, it is part of the city and we live in the city and we dont want to be afraid to live in the city we love. I felt it was a one time incident that occurre. And it is not something that we hear about. I havent heard about it living in the neighborhood. I always felt very safe. Reporter event organizers say the turnout is the same as any other movie night. In San Francisco, lisa amin gulezian, abc 7 news. Were learning more about the suspects of a nationwide manhunt who turned themselves in here in the bay area. The two men are accused of killing a hairstylist in chicago. A stabbing so Violent Police say the knife broke off in the victim. Abc 7 News Reporter cornell bernard has our story. Reporter two wanted men on the run, in custody for the brutal murder of a chicago man. Wyndham latham, a Northwestern University professor, surrendered peacefully in oakland. We were able to negotiate his surrender at the oakland federal courthouse. Reporter andrew warren, an employee at Oxford University in england, gave himself up at the park Police Station in San Francisco around the same time. Both men faced first degree murder charges in the stabbing death of 26yearold cosmetologist. The same day, an hour away in wisconsin, the two suspects made a mysterious 1,000 donation to a Public Library in his name. Investigators believe professor latham and the victim had a relationship. According to chicago police, before his surrender, latham sent a video to family and friends apologizing for the murder, saying it is the biggest mistake of my life. If i had reporter latham seen here was a microbiologist at northwestern for ten years. I had him give a talk to some students, about his research, and seemed like a perfectly normal guy. Reporter san Francisco Police denied our requests for a jailhouse interview because hes under medical supervision. Both suspects awaiting extradition back to illinois. A stubborn fire that broke out last week in the hills above uc berkeley is completely out this morning. Firefighters fully contained the flames yesterday. The fire started wednesday afternoon on grizzly peak. Investigators were looking into whether it was intensionally set. Drone view 7 gives us a look at the scorched land. Firefighters say 20 acres of brush and trees burned. Santa rosa police shot and killed a man they say was armed with a knife. Officers arrived at a home on west deal lane. Yesterday morning after receiving a call about a man acting crazy. Police say they found him under a bed, when he wount drop the knife, they use ed what theyre calling electronic control devices and chemical agents. He still refused to drop the knife. Officers say he advanced on them. At least one officer opened fire, hitting the man, killing him. Body cam video recorded the incident and that video will not be released while the incident is being investigated. The heavyweights of High School Sports in the east bay came together this weekend to support a paralyzed east bay teenager and his family. Jake javier broke his neck when he fell into a pool last year. The Football Player was paralyzed the day before his graduation from San Ramon Valley high school. Football players from his alma mater and rival schools, de la val, monta vista, freedom and cal high came together to play a charity game benefiting javier. It was organized by legendary de la sal football coach bob lattiser who says javier has big plans to accomplish. Hes heading off to cal poly san luis obispo, needs special help when he gets down there to get around to his classes and, you know, insurance doesnt cover t i thought we could defray some of the costs for the family and get him going on his first year of school. Oakland as outfielder matt joyce has been suspended for two games after he shouted antigay profanities at a fan and then challenged him to a fight. It happened right after this at bat by joyce in the eighth inning of thursday nights game. Joyce posted a sevenpart tweet saying in part hes, quote, beyond sorry for what happened. And called it a truly regrettable moment. Manager bob melvin had this to say before last nights game. Authorities detained nunez and hugo majea in may when they reported two new construction jobs at Travis Air Force base. Their arrests sparked protests in this video. Neither man was allowed a trial. Developing news out of tulsa, oklahoma where dozens of people have been hurt in a possible tornado this morning. Must keep an eye on china making sure it fully complies with the new sanctions. The u. N. Security Council Unanimously passed a resolution to cut off nearly a third of north koreas exports, china voted in favor of the sanctions. The Chinese ForeignMinistry Even says he urged north k to stop t missile launches and the nuclear tests, but the u. With congress in recess, east bay democratic congressman Eric Swalwell is talking with constituents, spent yesterday in union city. The eiffel tower is back open with extra security after being closed last night. Police arrested a man who brandished a knife and tried to breach security at the monument. It happened just before closing time. The tower was briefly evacuated. The company that manages the eiffel tower says no one was hurt in that incident. This morning, the search for three missing u. S. Marines off the coast of australia has turned from a rescue mission to a recovery effort. The three were among 23 passengers on board a controversial aircraft that went into the water. Stephanie ramos with the latest. Reporter the first images of the crash. The marines rescued after their aircraft went down during a routine practice flight. Overnight, investigators suspending the search for three Service Members missing at sea. Now calling it a recovery mission. The marines likely did not survive. Their aircraft hit the water around 4 00 p. M. Local time saturday. U. S. Military aircraft scoured the water for hours, crew s managing to rescue 23 of the 26 marines on board. It is unfortunate, but it is a fact of life in military aviation that those mishaps are going to occur. Reporter these accidents have happened before. In january of this year, three u. S. Soldiers were hurt in an osprey hard landing in yemen. And in 2015, an osprey crashed during a military exercise in hawaii. Images show it erupted in a ball of fire. Two marines killed. It is a difficult environment to operate in and train for. But it is absolutely required for us to be prepared for combat. Reporter this is the Second Military plane to crash in less than a month. 15 marines and one sailor killed when their military transport plane crashed in mississippi. Also, on a training exercise. The osprey belongs to a unit based out of okinawa, japan. With an upcoming training exercise, the Japanese Defense minister says he want the u. S. Developing news this morning, ucla is notifying thousands of students about a possible security breach. The University Says a hacker gained access to a server containing personal data for more than 30,000 current and former students. Officials say they dont believe the hacker stole any sensitive information, but they are offering people affected Free Identity Protection Services for a year. A california town with a population of 20, yes, 20 people has been sold to an arizona Marijuana Company to create a pot friendly tourist destination. The town is called neptune. It is about an hour from vegas, across the nevada border. Three hours from l. A. American green bought the town, lock, stock and barrel, for 5 million. It plans to invest 2. 5 million in neptune over the next 18 months. Some residents dont like the impending change. I love it out here. I cant imagine living in a big town or city anymore. It might be getting bought. I hear that i might be sold. American green is looking to take advantage of california legalizing marijuana. And at the coast, thats where things are going to be school, in the 60s for you, 63 in pacifica, with a sea breeze of about 10 to 20 miles per hour. Downtown, San Francisco, warming up to 66 this afternoon. And notice the clouds, kind of just hugging the coast throughout the day. And in the north bay, look for mild numbers, mid70s through petaluma, novato, san rafael and near 80 in sonoma and napa. Warmest locations will be up towards you k s ukiya and lake. In the 70s for the most part. 70 in berkeley. Warming up to 78 as you head further south towards fremont and Castro Valley 76. Inland areas warm again. But were coming down from the 90s. Upper 80s for some locations and mid80s as well. Walnut creek at 85. Fairfield, 86. Antioch and brentwood in the upper 80s for you. Clouds will return depend once tonight and push in towards the coast and that means overnight lows will be closer to normal. You can let that cool marine layer in. Temperatures in the 50s and 60s. I think ill patent that phra phrase. The Cappuccino High School marching band has been the bride of san bruno. Leann melendez explains. Reporter known for working hard, this marching band has a history. This was the band. Reporter the Cappuccino High School marching bands reputation began in the 1950s. This marching band was so popular in the day that ty were invited to perform at president kennedys inauguration in 1961. Copies of newspaper articles highlighting the event lived behind this glass display. But with time the band lost some of its thunder until this past year when they got a new director and money. Grants from the san bruno pg e pipeline explosion settlement are being used for school music programs. The band received 19,000 last year and will get another 116,000 over the next three years. They wanted to ensure that the community was going to benefit from that from that event that really kind of destroyed a neighborhood and affected everybody in the area. The band has now nearly doubled in size. Now they can buy more instruments, uniforms and be able to travel. Seeing this band grow from barely anything, it is, wow. One of the goals for us as a band is to get back to that place of being, oh, thats cappuccino. They know what theyre doing. Reporter this week students were already practicing for what they hope will be a memorable year. In san bruno, they will perform at disney land later this year.
