The ghost ship fire moved quickly, the flames so intense, it wasnt long before the roof and second floor collapsed. Dr. Abdid is an expert in the investigation of fires and explosions. There is a collapse of the roof, a lot of the threedimensional objects become more or less twodimensional. In the immediate aftermath, the Fire Investigation becomes more challenging. Charring, melting of objects, electrical activity or lack thereof. Among the evidence, the most important clue. Theyre looking for indicators that tell them how intense the fire was, which direction it was moving, and that helps them trying to find the origin. Thats when investigators use tools like this one, a thermal imaging camera. It picks up signals of heat, and you can use that to map out an area and see which areas are still warm. As opposed to areas that have gone cold. The mission of the investigators is to look for the origin of the fire. Then you can look for the cause. Here is what regular images look like. The cup on the table is red. Because it is filled with hot coffee. My face and hands are red, because of the warm blood flow. In a fire, the camera picks up heat in places you cant see. For instance, if there is the fire started inside a wall and the wall is still warm, you may know that you need to remove the sheetrock to look into that area with a camera like that. His cancer is in remission. This is the second year tam and his Star Wars Team delivered gifts and good vibes to children battling cancer. He said the kids cant be part of the promotion for star wars, to lets bring star wars to the kids. A big star wars fan himself, ryan tam considers this a cool way to connect with other kids, dealing with the same disease. Stories they share with me and theyre joyful they see a living survivor. We want you to join our team. Im very tickled to come back and say you can make it. Justin parker is battling leukemia too. It has been hard going through it, but im strong. And i can fight it. The tam family remembers the time their son was in the hospital fighting cancer. This is their way of paying all the support they received forward. It puts things in perspective.
