The napa Valley School district had this response to the expulsion being overturned, we disagree with the outcome, but we respect the process and decision. We have new details in a shooting that shut down 101 a week ago, today the chp revealed the names of the officers involved. The newest officer had only one year of experience. Last friday officers shot and killed a man who reportedly tried to carjack a man at gunpoint. And new details in a murder case thats more than a decade old. A young couple was shot on a beach, and today police named shaun gallon as the killer. Reporter sheriffs deputies are saying that shaun gallon was a suspect since the beginning of this case, but they never had enough ed to charge him. But when they did charge him with the murder of his brother, well, he started talking. In quiet, picturesque jenner, it remains a mystery, jenners painful, gnaws contrast to such a beautiful place. It was shocking and unusual and nobody had any idea who it was. Reporter this is the booking photo of 38yearold shaun gallon from forest ville. Theres evidence linking him to the murder of jason allen and 22yearold lindsay kitshaw. We have located evidence that corroborates his statement. They were christian counselors at a youth camp in sample. They were on vacation sleeping on this beach, police found their bodies still in their sleeping bags, in the head at close range. No apparent motive. We believe it is a random crime and were confident that there is no connection between them, yes. Reporter sheriffs deputies describe gallon as having a violent history. In 2010, a judge sentenced him to three years in prison after me shot an arrow through the roof of a car and hit a man inside. Today behind yellow tape on river road in forestville, deputies searched his home searching for the murder weapon in the case. Detectives never ruled him out as a possible suspect. This view in sky 7 shows the view just hours ago. The black smoke was seen for miles. Officials have lifted a shelter in place and Evacuation Order thats been in effect for most of the day. Roads that were closed near the refinery are reopened. A sudden pg e power outage caused the plant to shut down. Officials say the plant is beginning to resume normal operations. Valero refinery has reached a level where they are is stable, they have increased their steam production, which has allowed their flare system to work properly. The air Quality Management and the epa are monitoring the flares. Theyre not expected to cause Adverse Health officials. However official you know what the site of all this smoke and all the flames, thats unnerving to neighbors so refineries do want to minimize these failures. Due to transmission line works it was feeding electricity to scho vale valero. They could have switched from the energized one to the deenergized one so we would have backup power. The refinery completed a cogeneration plan in 2002. And we found this project description on the California Energy commission website, actually. And, you know, valero had planned to sell any excess power on the open market. That plant is still dependent now on pg e for power. Todays incident is just the latest challenge for valero, of course.
