It happened last night at a home for people with drug and Mental Health issues on Fourth Avenue in palo alto. Today police tape marks the spot where it happened. Were near the scene. Police have just released some new information about what led up to that shooting. Reporter police say that the person who was shot is the one who called 911 in the first place. They suspect he was waiting for officers to arrive armed with a knife. This Residential Health facility looks like any other house on this palo alto street. It takes in men and women with Mental Health issues for treatment programs. Christmas night, Palo Alto Police were called here for a disturbance. They shot and killed the suspect, who they say charged at officers with a knife.
