land on time and here in the bay area and around the country, the problems created long lines at the airport. some computer systems were down two hours. the airline says the cause is still unknown. >> passenger who's want to cancel or rebook their ticket. >> police are seeking a man who sexual assaulted a woman while impersonating a police officer. he is in his late 20s maybe early 30s. police say he pulled a woman over at 3:00 a.m. by sounding a siren and flashing a light. after showing her a badge he ordered her out, handcuffed skmer placed her in the back seeft his car he assaulted her after driving to a secluded area this, happened in the early morning of august 5th. the victim did not return it until several weeks late year police in the south bay use a series of gang sweeps to try to gain control of the soaring homicide rate in san jose. officers plan to keep pressure on gang members. abc 67 news is live at the police department with the story. >> there are police telling us the sweeps so successful, they'll continue them throughout the end of the year. but civil rights groups tell abc 7 news there are concerns over these sweeps. there are several hundred people demanding on end to the murder streak. police had taken giant steps to do just that. >> there are three day operations aimed at stopping the outbreak of gang violence. the spike in murders couldn't have come at a worse time. number of officer on the force at the lowest in years. the department was able to mobilize officers from numerous units and authorize overtime for cops for the sweeps. police officials say this paid off. officers arrested 26 gang members and confiscated two guns and knife autos we're confident the activity resulted in no homicides. >> there are eight killings during 11 days this month. and this is are gang members targeted because police say almost 40% of the killings are gang related. police say this is what they were doing when the department was at full force, being pro active and putting constant pressure on gangs. the operation which is nicknamed gangs all the time pleased the mayor. >> the gang members know they're likely to be stopped and that keeps guns off the streets. >> the coalition for justice in the a.accountability is worried during stops and search autos we're concerned with increased violence in the community. >> this might be racial profiling but they fit a description of someone in a certain car or wearing a hat a certain way. >> the department is authorizing 800,000ses today pay for more overtime to keep sweeps going and is hiring 64 new for us. >> radar image shows hurricane isaac, a category one has made land fall now in the new orleans area. and is affecting a wide path along the gulf coast. and in addition to affects of the hurricane ask the tropical storm there are boxes indicating tornado watches for a wide portion becauses you know outer bands are often producing tornadoes. there is winds 80 miles per hour, continuing over the next 24-72 hours taking it inland and will weak dwron a tropical storm and a tropical depression. this is going to travel into parts of missouri and illinois. rainfall projections for the areas hardest hit, anywhere from 7-14 inches of rain over a wide area of the lower mississippi valley. you can see the storm has potential to produce wide spread flooding. back in the bay area there is no clouds at the coast yet. it's still warm. 87 fairfield and antioch. 83 in concord. 80s in mountain view. highlights, fog return together coast. mild to warm again tomorrow, cooler weather settling in on friday and saturday. starting at 11:00 tonight and during overnight fog coming back to the coastline but not pushing inland. there are low temperatures mainly into mid to upper 50s and low 80s in -- 50s this north bay valleys. 5:00 in the morning at which point there is a little bit of fog near the coast that will burn away from the coast and another sunny day tomorrow and 60s at the coast to about 90. and there is locations behind tomorrow, 68 in san francisco. 77 in oakland. 90s in livermore and antioch and fairfield. upper 80s in parts of the north bay and near monterey us. hurricane isaac made land fall touching the extreme southeastern tip of louisiana near the mouth of the mississippi river. the storm still 90 miles from new orleans but heavy rains pounding the area. you can see in this video how strong the waves are. there are 129,000 homes and businesses without power in louisiana. isaac is also pounding the coast, it's a category one hurricane with winds up to 80 miles per hour. moving slosly -- slowly that. can cause severe flooding from mississippi to louisiana. >> we had dodged a bullet this, is not a category three storm but a category one is plenty big enough to put a big hurt on you. >> there is about some that decided to ride out the powerful storm. >> light may go out but we're prepared for all of that. i'm not really in the mood for 760ses today someone in greece. and 680ses today someone in spain. peter could keep the rest for himself. his job to rate the two money wiring companies. >> i was toltd to go to the bank. >> peter deposited the check. the money appeared to be in his account. peter and dd about to walk out of the door rs and wire money. luckily, dd had doubts. >> and you're giving money, now you want it out of the country? it doesn't add up before leaving the house dd called 7 on your side. and we slammed the brakes on this hoax. >> on your side said, wait a minute. anything like that, money out of the
