Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a store employee on market street. It all started shortly after 7 00 last night at nicks foods. Police say a clerk tried to stop the suspect from shoplifting and thats when the person pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim who is expected to survive. Investigators are looking through surveillance to try to i. D. The suspect. This 36yearold woman is in jail now for kidnapping a baby from a car in San Francisco. It happened yesterday morning of sherman street. Police say the father was standing a short distance away preparing a bottle when the woman reached inside the car and took the 6monthold. She then took the baby on not one but two muni buses. Police caught up with her 30 minutes after the first 911 call came in. Our cameras were there when officers took her into custody. Did you kidnap a baby . No, i dont kidnap babies. The babys mother rushed to the scene. Officers consoled her as she was runited with her child. The baby was then taken to the hospital to be checked out and no injuries were reported. The relationship between the babys family and the suspect is still unknown. Happening today, an assistant professor at usf who died last week in a plane crash will be remembered. He died on thursday when the small plane he was piloting crashed in sonoma. There will be a Memorial Service today. Donations will go to the school where his two children go to school. A driver faces accusations of drunk driving and car theft after several people were hurt in a headon crash in eastern contra costa county. You can see where it happened. The impact crushed a minivan carrying seven people. Highway patrol investigators say the driver of the stolen car was going the wrong way on westbound highway 4 when he hit the minivan. Eight people got hurt, including as you can see two small suspe now in jail after being released from the hospital. A wildfire threatened several homes in antioch, and youre looking at cell phone video of all the smoke looming before a row of houses near highway 4. People first reported the fire at 6 30 last night and you can see the large flames. Crews had the fire contained a little more than 40 minutes after it started. The fire burned about 30 acres. A car went off a highway and sparked a fast moving wildfire. It started moving up a hillside toward homes. Air tankers quickly went in to douse the flames. Firefighters in san hose are investigating what kazzed this car fire that quickly spread to nearby brush. It was spotted around 4 00 yesterday morning. Investigators are not sure if the car caught fire before the fire started or if it was left there afterwards. And People Living in lake county are feeling the impact of a wildfire that broke out just yesterday, but its miles away. The grade fire in Mendocino County broke out around 3 00 p. M. Yesterday. Two lanes of marine boulevard will be closed until october. New developments about the victims caught in deadly flash flooding at a popular arizona swimming spot. Nine people are dead and they were all members of the same family there to celebrate a birthday. A woman caught the frightening scene on her phone. You can see the flash flood sending water, debris, and mud rushing down a mountain into the river below. Witnesses say dozens of wimmers held on to whatever they could to stay alive. Four people were rescued and flown to hospitals to be treated for hypothermia. I have been with the Sheriffs Office 13 years and this is the worst flash flood accident weve had. A child and two adults were safely brought to shore. This video shows the coast guard rescuer swimming to the boat to attend to the victims. Of them gives a thumbs up to his rescuers after being brought to shore. A kayaker is credited with helping the victims in the water by letting them hang to his kayak while he was calling 911.
