Our media partner, the bay area news group, report the guards is accused of beating an inmate so badly it left him permanently disfigured. They told abc7 news he was repeatedly punched and slammed face first into a wall and a metal bed frame. The guards have been removed from their jobs during a criminal investigation. The beating happened july 23rd of last year, about a month before another inmate was killed. Three officers have been charged with murder in that case. A chp officer is all smiles as he recovered from a stabbing that led to a manhunt earlier this week. Chp San Francisco posted this photo of the officer on facebook yesterday. He is smiling and holding his badge, which was returned to him yesterday morning. A man stabbed him in the neck tuesday morning. The chp thanked First Responders for quickly arriving and helping him. He will wear a protective brace. Said hes ready to go. Im not one of those guys that sits out. If i have an opportunity and im able to play, then im going to play. The super bowl just adds to it. It is another opportunity for me to go out and compete with my teammates, and it just so happens to be in the super bowl. I feel a lot better than i did a couple days after the surgery. And it just is continuing to heal every day. The broncos, they have a lot of super bowl experience in their locker room. They played in the game only a couple years ago. But there are still some players looking forward to their first big game. Its Peyton Mannings fourth super bowl. 1 in 2 coming in. He asked about advice to the younger teammates. I think this experience is so unique for everybody, and its very its hard to tell somebody how they are going to feel on sunday. It can be extremely emotional. I think you want to avoid it being overwhelming, but i think you have to be careful telling someone how they are going to feel. They may have to make it natural. There is one other big game this weekend in the bay area. The warriors will host the thunder. Ok. C. Is third in the western conference. They have won their last games but the warriors crushed the spurs and the cavs and they are excited for their first meeting of the season with the thunder. They are always excited to play against great teams, but thats no guarantees we are going to play like we did against the spurs or cleveland. We have to be sharper than weve been. Records are possible right on through tuesday. The sun is coming up at 7 09 and sets at 5 38. Thats 10 1 2 hours of day light. A ridge of High Pressure is pushing the storm track well to the north and it will stay situated over the west coast, creating a big, big pattern change from the west to the east. Winter is going to reside for a while back east while we enjoy springlike temperatures. The visibility has been shifting around from santa rosa to petaluma. A mile and three quarters this petaluma but doing good from concord to livermore. Four miles now and a little bit of haze. Heres mt. Tam. A gorgeous shot for you with clear sky. 50 in San Francisco all morning long. Temperatures have fluctuated around morgan hill and san jose, dropping a few degrees into the low 40s. Had 45 Mountain View and Half Moon Bay. 44 in oakland. Good morning to you. And from our roof camera its nice and clear out there. Look at the chilly numbers. For a while cop cord was in the mid30s. Right now weve got 36 by the delta. Upper 30s for you in napa. 39 for livermore and santa rosa. So its certainly chilly out there. Radiational cooling and calm winds. Winds shift to an offshore component and we see the numbers respond. Some of the warmest numbers at the coast by about tuesday. So springlike for the super bowl tomorrow. Warm pattern into early next week. Records are possible. And in fact we could be a little conservative on some of the numbers. We are looking at a beach hazard statement, though, through tomorrow from the National Weather service. This is really to indicate the very large breakers and strong rip currents from the north coast and sonoma all the way down to monterey bay. Currentibility wave heights, bodega bay 11 feet. Very dangerous. And certainly ocean beach will be beautiful but you should keep your distance. Take a look at the next couple of columns. This is sunday. High temperatures in the city upper 60s to the low 70s. Look what happens into monday. We have 78 degrees in the south bay. Very little change into tuesday. So we are talking about records. The next few days that is the this is from 10 to maybe 20 degrees above normal. So look at the inland east bay, low 70 starting sunday and saying that way monday, into tuesday. We could get an on shore push, we will get an on shore push into tuesday allowing parts of the north bay to maybe cool a few degrees. But other than that it will be a warm coupling of days in san jose. Upper 60s to the mid70s here, and staying warm by the end of the week one model wants to bring in a little bit of rain. But its not looking that impressive. So super bowl city today, upper 50s, 11 00. 63 at 2 00 in the afternoon and look for the kupper 50s by 6 00. Mid50s 10 00. 68 santa rosa, napa and fremont. And, of course, tomorrow looking at low 70s. Just up believable. The accuweather sevenday forecast, we talked about the warmth lingering into tuesday. Then the on shore push tries to bring the numbers back down but its really going to take all week long and they are hoping for the 1 on the storm impact scale to materialize on friday. But its got a tough job. The air is going to be so, so dry right through the end of the week. Who would have thought the super bowl would have been played with temperatures in the 70s this year. I know. Thank u arriving in style for the super bowl means traveling in a private jet for some elite football traps. Six local airports have parking set aside for private jets this week. It means the big game is coming. Weve been planning for super bowl for about 12 months. Its here. Well over 100 small luxurious jets will land here over the weekend. Moments after touching down they are guide into their parking spots steps away from a row of fancy rental cars. Passengers are handnd their luggage as they get off the plane and ushered into a terminal. We used a used airport hangar, emptied it out and puts luxurious furnishings in. Energy this is the way to welcome people because we expect a larmer crowd than usual. This is where pilots and crew watch the game while the passengers see it in person. While the airport cant tell us who is arriving we are having some vips and sports figures and people you would probably recognize. Some of the jets are privately owned or others like this one are chartered, hired specifically for the super bowl. Pilots for jet suite. The seats are made of mercedes interior. We also, like i said, a lot of the passengers do work on flights. We have the pullout trays. They can set up their computers. The plane was wifi, satellite radio, electrical outlets. Headsets for the passenger if they need a little bit more quieter inside. Not unlike the ones the pilot wears. The cockpit stays open because they are not just here to fly, they are here to take care of the customer. Theres no coach class on this plane . No, all first class. All first class and we treat them like first class. Jorge was headed south to pick up another guest. One of several trips he will make before game day. As for his super bowl plans .
