Police are looking for the girls mother, sarah kruger, and warner. They were last seen leaving their apartment yesterday morning. It was on wilkins avenue. Police say the girl was found around 1 00 yesterday afternoon at an apartment on wilkins avenue. They have not released details on how she died but say there are signs of foul play. The mother and her boyfriend were last season carrying luggage out of their apartment. That was yesterday morning. Saw her leaving with duffel bags and the boyfriend and no child. There were three of them living there. It was only supposed to be just her and her child living there. Kruger is described if years he would, 160 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Warner is 26, 160 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Authorities say they dont own a car. In breaking news overnight, police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people in oakland. It happened around 11 00 last night on 24th street near market. One of the victims was a teenager, another a man in his 30s. Police say they were found on the sidewalk in front of a boys and girls club with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers arrived on scene. Ambulance and fire responded. They tried to attempt first aid, but unfortunately both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced on scene. Police say they do not have any leads. After 6 30 last night on hudson avenue it man pedestrian was found dead. New details this morning. Investigators say nurse at San FranciscoGeneral Hospital and the sheriffs deputy share the blame in the death of a woman found in the hospital stairwell last fall. Accord together San Francisco chronicle, federal investigators say nurses failed to act on a doctors order that Lynn Spalding be watched around the clock. She vanished from her room on september 21st. They also concluded that a sheriffs deputy was told to search the hospital stairwells for spalding but he understood it as something he could do if he had free time. Spaldings body was found 17 days later during a routine check. The oakland teenager accused of killing his sister during a fight over laundry will be in court tomorrow. 17yearold justice was shot to death inside an oakland apartment last month. Police say her 14yearold brother killed her because she bleached some of his clothing. He turned himself in last week. Justice leaves behind a threeyearold daughter. Oakland police have arrested two men in connection with a violent home robbery. Officers say the two armed suspects kicked in the door at a house on 17th street at 9 00 yesterday morning. They pointed guns at an 18monthold toddler, telling family members to keep the baby quiet. It was the second Home Invasion robbery in the same neighborhood in a week. I was really shocked to see there was a shooting in this neighborhood. Its been a very quiet neighborhood and im worried about the people who live here. If they cant be safe in the middle of day, its really an outrage and we need to do something. Thanks to witnesses, the suspects were taken into custody just a few blocks away. Neighbors have talked about hiring private security, but no final decision has been made. Turning now to californias drought, very little rain and little water in reserve. Reporter drying out reservoirs and parched lakebeds, images of the ongoing drought in california. But some by area residents say they arent sure everybody understands how bad the situation maybe they hear it on tv and they are like, oh, theres a shortage of water but they around getting the whole idea. But its not raining much and we arent getting enough water period. The state announced it would stop water deliveries to local agencies if the drought continues and San Francisco announced they would cut water use by 10 . We are asking residents, commercial, wholesale, municipal and industry to all chip in. This is a serious issue that we are facing. Reporter that means San Francisco recreation and parks will be scaling back when they water the citys 220 parks and green spaces. I grew up with six kids. We had five minute showers. Get in, get out really quick. He lives in oakland where the east bay district water board will be meeting in a little over a week to decide if they will adopt new water restrictions as well. Usof lives in los altos. Hes concerned some of his neighbors arent conserving at all. I tried to speak to a few neighbors of mine and the sprinklers are on twice a day. I couldnt change their minds. This group at the almeda County Fair Grounds is praying for rain. In cases of extreme drought, they taught the Muslim Community about 1400 years ago in arabia, they had droughts as well. So whenever that happened he had a special prayer he did. The prayer was organized by the San Francisco chapter of the council on American Islamic relations. Abc7 news. In response to the drought a Central Valley lawmaker plans to introduce a law to increase storage. They had meat to go discuss the measure. Farmers and experts back the plan saying without it, the Central Valley will keep suffering. One farmer said no water, well, just cant plant much the reality for me this year is i am going to have to set aside about 40 of the property that i farm of the 1100 acres. Several farmers are already taking the same steps, warning a loss of jobs will follow if the water bond proposal gets enough support, it will be on the november ballot. The drought is considered one of the worst in california history. Back in 2013, that was last year, there was less rain than in any year since california became a state. Most of the state experienced record dry, including the bay area. The only exceptions, parts of southern california. Seven people, including three children, are displaced after a fire spread through an apartment complex in gilroy. Investigators say that fire started in a kitchen last night. Abc7 News ReporterLisa Amin Gulezian has the details. The things that made these apartments home to seven people are destroyed. The fire started in unit number 11s kitchen around 6 30. It took just a few minutes to burn the twobedroom apartment. Once it got going and burning the contents of this apartment, it broke through the windows and then kim up through and got into the windows of the upstirs. The two men in that apartment got out safely. They quickly caused other neighbors to help. I went outside and i seen the other guy with the fire. He said help me. Help me turn it off. He did more than that, he jumped into the burning apartment must be 11 to see if anyone was trapped. Luckily the family of five went wasnt home, and salazar made it out with only a few cuts on his hands. The fire was already out by the time the family got home and saw what was left. A relative told me the kitchen stove has been malfunctioning for months. It sounded to me like an electrical problem. She has been complaining to them, that this steve has a problem, this stove has a problem. Until investigators piece together what happened, those living in the complexs other eight units had no choice but to stand by and wait. An explosion during a fire in sausalito last with night was captured on video. Flames caused a quarter million damage too dive shop on liberty ship way which is right on the water. Firefighters had a tough time fighting the flames because the only access was on a narrow dock. A Memorial Service was held in san jose yesterday for the five family members killed in a plane crash. Silicon valley tech executive dale smith, his son, daughter, daughterinlaw and a fiancee all died when the singleengine beach plane he was piloting crashed in idaho. Yesterday a threehour service at the church of jesus christ of latter day saints remembered the victims for their faith and dedication. Heres the timeline now. The plane disappeared in a remote part of idaho back on december 3rd. Searchers looked for days until the search was called off because of poor weather conditions on november 9th. Private efforts to find the family continued until january 10th when the plane was found by smiths brother. The bodies were recovered from the crash site on january 15th. The search is on for other victims. The mountain erupted yesterday after rumbling for months. Last week 30,000 people were evacuated. Allowed 1400 of them to return, saying activity was slowing down. The bay area is home to thousands of native indonesians. Last night a group gathered to pray for loved ones who live near the volcano. We came here to pray because we are far away. One former loyalist says he has evidence christie knew about the deliberate lane closures last september on the George Washington bridge. A firestorm of controversy has erupted around a firehouse in the nations capitol. Steps away from with a 77yearold man collapsed from an apparent heart attack. Despite pleas for help, firefighters refused to lift a finger. Abc News Reporter susan has the mounting fallout. Controversy is heating up at this northeast washington firehouse. Everything ive seen up to now is just horrific. Cecil mills, a 77yearold veteran city employee, collapse cardiac arrest outside this strip mall last weekend. His daughter went screaming to the firehouse for help and to one firefighter who happened to be outside. The parking lot where he collapsed is only about 50 yards from this engine 26. I ran to the curb and said, are you going to help me or are you going to let my dad die . Others approached the firehouse only to be turned away because of bureaucratic protocol. They said they couldnt help unless someone called 911 to dispatch them. If it could have gone wrong, it did. The one in charge of the firehouse submitted papers asking for retirement asking being placed on desk duty with pay. City officials are investigating engine 26. He stressed that there are no rules or policies that would have prevented them from taking action. Their job is to respond and render aid. United said they will drop their hub in cleveland, slashing its daily flights and eliminating 470 jobs. Some changes start today for some at t customers. The company is reducing cell phone rates for family plans.
