That is a hightech aircraft equipped with an emergency parachute which is appeared to have deployed. That parachute orange and white in color. Faa investigators have just arrived on scene. They are being briefed by the Sonoma CountySheriffs Department about exactly what happened here. We do not know what caused the plane to crash. We are live in Sonoma County. This took place on fitzgerald and santa teresa. The girls mother is worried this could happen elsewhere and somebody appears to be shooting at cars. David louie is live in gilroy with more. David . Reporter larry, you can see that the glass is missing on the back of this minivan. A pellet or bb went through this glass, shattering it and struck a 7yearold girl who was in the middle seat just behind her mom who was at the wheel. And to everyones surprise, the evidence of what had struck the girl was later found tangled in her hair. Glass just popped and got me in the ear. Reporter imagine the shock when 7yearold grace realized her right ear was bleeding. She and her younger brother, michael, were riding with mom on their way to go swimming at grandma and grandpas. The back window shattered and a bb or pel elt was found in graces hair after it grazed her ear. Shes bleeding. It was just really frustrating to not know what to do and to feel so like confused and overwhelmed by what the heck is going on. Reporter sky 7 shows you the scene. The northbound lanes of santa teresa boulevard about a half mile north of fitzgerald between gilroy and morgan hill. The suv wasnt the only one hit. Another driver stopped to check on them and said someone the shot at his vehicle too. I feel like this was on purpose. I dont feel like this was target practice gone wrong. You know, to just hit that perfectly in the back of someones car as theyre driving down the road. Reporter the chp and Sheriffs Office responded. Deputies took the pellet from graces hair for evidence. The Highway Patrol helped to calm her, gifting her with a stuffed panda bear. Grace has given him the name oreo. This must have really scared you. Did you yell or scream or anything . No, but i cried. Reporter julie posted a warning on her Neighborhood Watch page, hoping no one encounters the shooter. She believes that grace surviving is a miracle. In gilroy, david louie, abc 7 news. Santa clara county deputies are trying to find out why a man shot an killed his roommate. That shooting happened this morning in saratoga at a home on bucknall road. The 57yearold suspect called police admitting that he shot his female roommate. They found the 60yearold victim inside the home of she was taken to the hospital where she died. Tonight that suspect is in custody. A concord man is in jail accused of molesting a child at a laundromat. Police say this man, 60yearold jose chavez, assaulted the child on tuesday. Investigators say the incident was caught on surveillance camera at the laundromat on monument boulevard. The childs grandmother called 911. Hours later an officer recognized chavez at a nearby Shopping Center and arrested him. Police are investigating whether there may be other victims. In a video, robert grote explained his reasons for supporting the middle east kurds by joining the wpg. Grote died last week along with another american volunteer from new york. They were fighting in raqqah in northern syria. In the same video, he told his family he was sorry not to be with them.
