The sounds were like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It was just were celebrating our independence. Its a shame that fireworks cannot be legally sold in the city of oakland. Reporter Alameda County sheriff issued about 50 pounds of fireworks and issued eight citations. Were showing you a bit of the debris left behind. Firefighters were able to get this place out relatively quickly. As for the Oakland Police department, they had 100 extra officers on last night. They told me they responded to 125 fireworks calls for but they not Issue Citations unless they see someone light the fireworks. In the meantime the effort to clean up the debris continues. Seven people were taken into custody after a fight broke out. Some involved were juveniles. The adults involved were aersed and taken to jail. The juveniles were cited and released to their parents. Deputies are still investigating what started that fight. A crash involving a charter bus on the Golden Gate Bridge sent 11 people to the hospital. Sky 7 was above the scene this afternoon. The chp says the bus crashed into two vehicles that were stopped in the slow lane near the toll plaza following an earlier crash. The bus was returning to San Francisco from the casino. Two southbound lanes were blocked for about an hour. A big rig hauling logs overturned this morning in west marin county. The driver was trapped inside the cab and seriously hurt be p the crash closed down fallon road in both directions as they reworked to remove the truck that weighed 4,000 pounds and 18 feet long. A major evacuation at sfo at a terminal because of suspicious luggage. It creates a huge inconvenience for travelers and airline employees there afternoon. Reporter Police Actually had one of their canine officers come out to inspect the suspicious piece of luggage. That canine had a positive response which led to the bomb squad being called out here to the airport. They found there was nothing explosive inside just a comforter and some clothing and also a very bizarre story to go along with the owner of that bag thats upset a lot of people. We didnt know if there was like a bomb or shooting. When we got down here it was just bedlam. Everyone was waiting for bags to come off. Reporter cell phone video from passengers show people outside terminal one today after sfpd shut down parts of the first and second floors. A check point and outer roadway for an hour and a half all because of this suspicious suitcase. We saw that suitcase. A piece of black luggage being wheeled away by police for further testing. Sfpd tell me they later found out the owner of the bag was running late for his flight, decided he didnt have time to check his bag so he abandoned it in the baggage claim air around 11 30 this morning. He made it on his flight to san diego but for people just arriving to sfo became a very confusing situation with a lot of wbaggage delays. Thats insane. You leave an abandoned bag, theyre going to shut it down because they have no choice. I think it was terribly irresponsible. He could have taken his bag to the airline he would fly. They would check it for him at the gate. Thats so rude. Its inconvenienced hundreds of people trying to get to where theyre going or coming home because someone didnt prepare to get to the airport on time. Reporter i spoke to southwest baggage employees who say the incident shut them down fn an hour and a half. An extremely busy travel day. Its the day after the fourth of july. All those folks who you heard speaking say they waited an extra hour or so for their bags to come off baggage claim. The bag is being further tested to see if there might have been anything illegal inside that bag which would have set off that canine officer. Santa clara county deputies responded to a domestic dispute call today. Family members told deputies the suspect had a gun inside the home so deputies proceeded with caution. While fired at Police Outside the jewelry mart before he surrendered. Most was captured on video. The prosecutors showed the graphic violent video inside the store but most chilling of all the audio.
