Mel sni . Reporter John Jacksons aunt says he went by the nickname kuter. Also he lit up any room he was in. San Francisco Police searched for the gunman. His former classmates are mourning his loss. Additional wellness counselors and staff are spending this tuesday talking to grieving students at Jefferson High School in daily city. After 15yearold Ray John Jackson known as kuter was shot and killed jed in the sunset district. His family shared this picture with us. It doesnt make sense. There are no answers for it. Reporter jackson was drive thing white pontiac. At least five bullet holes. Jackson died at a nearby hospital where his family gathered outside the e. R. His 16yearold passenger was not hurt. School administrators zajac son left Jefferson High School in the fall. They also say he has a Family Member still connected to the high school, but could not confirm if his 16yearold passenger was his brother. Its a tragic event for young people trying to understand why this happened. Why it happened to somebody they know, and why it continues to be happening in our communities. Reporter san Francisco Police are following up on a lead. There was a vehicle in the area at that time. So at this time were going to be trying to see if there is anything related that we can find. A fourcar accident in the east bay that happened just about an hour ago left one victim trapped in the wreckage. Abc7 news was in martinez as rescue crews this iss alhambra avenue. Extensive damage, pretty badly twisted up. Crews had to close the lane and traffic is backed up in that area as you can understand. It is not known yet what caused this crash. A motorcyclist was killed this morning in a headon crash in marin county. It happened just before 10 30 on highway 1 near olima. You can see chp officers marking the road. The chp says the motorcyclist was driving north when the bike crossed over the center line and collided with the truck. The motorcyclist died at the scene. [ inaudible ] the chp believes he was a 26yearold san rafael man. The truck driver was not hurt. No cause yet on a fire in oakland homeless encampment. It is in west oakland under interstate 580. Thousands pass over it every day. A little after 8 00 a fire broke out and at least ten tents were burned. No one was hurt, but the city and Fire Department cannot say how many people were living there and are now displaced. As i turned, something swooped by my face. It was like a wax bomb or Something Like that. And all of a sudden i felt this heat and all of this black smoke and i looked and it caught a fire so fast. That camp is the only city sanctioned tent camp in oakland. The city is working to get help for those People Living there. The city of santa cruz could face fines for not coming up with a plan to manage damage caused by recent storms. The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports the city waited for emergencies to happen before making repairs to west cliff drive. The scenic road near the board walk. Emergencies include sink holes, crumbling walls and falling piles of rock. It is getting the city one month to come up with a longterm plan to manage future erosion. And, so, you dont have to work as hard and that along with the fact that they have Smart Technology embedded with it might attract more people to these. Take the bike on the left side. The babysitter hit the side of another car, breaking the side mirror. The drivers then started arguing. The woman whose car was hit said she felt threatened so she grabbed the knife from her car. When youre that close in proximity to someone and putting your hands up and youre repeatedly telling that other person, please back up, and youre not backing up, you have to defend yourself. The babysitters injuries are not serious. Police did not detain either driver. Well, the as are mourning the loss of another young player. Theyre now trying to get back in the game with the launch of the galaxy s 8. The new smartphone just hit store shelves and Consumer Reports tested it ask theyre taking a look at how it stacks up against the competition. Consumer reports is testing eight of samsungs new galaxy s 8 and s 8 plus smartphones. Its the companys first significant phone launch since the massive recall of the note 7 last summer. Samsung galaxy s line has always done well in our tests. So interested in seeing if the newest one, s 8, can knock its pred sed predecessor out of the top spot. They found the issue in four out of the eight phones they purchased and tested. In a statement to Consumer Reports, samsung did not directly address the red tint issue, but says it will release an update as early as next week whic will provide users with the ability to further adjust the color settings on their s 8. In the meantime if your display looks red and you want to adjust, go to the settings, display, screen mode, color bounds and change the red level. Consumer reports put the Smartphone Camera through rigorous testing found it did well. Samsung toned down the oversharpening and they look realistic and natural. The s 8 passed the Consumer Reports dunk test validating the claim it can withstand 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. In Consumer Reports labs they found with the damage resistant gorilla glass 5, they were more scratch resistant than the s 7s.
