They are trying to determine if he had help in his plot to kill police. There is no doubt these officers were intentionally targeted and assassinated. Deputies tell me that when they make a vehicle stop, typically the greatest threat or risk comes from the person inside of the vehicle. But now there is a new dynamic and the deputies are also concerned about who may be around them. Sergeant rob evans has been with the Sheriffs Office 15 1 2 years and a desk job wasnt for him. I wanted some excitement. And lately the mood has changed. It is a very sad time. A tremendous amount of tension. And i dont really know what the solution is for that. Tension between residents and Law Enforcement is at an alltime high following the shooting death of alton sterling and philando castile. And the killing of officers translated to a new threat for Law Enforcement. Down here at the ground level, things are not Getting Better and they are getting worse. And everybody is just watching. And that is not helpful for us and that is not helpful for anyone. The scene was secure and safe but as you could see, we are in uniform in a marked car and who knows what other peoples intentions are. Watching two things at once are problematic. Usually you file a Police Report and you tell the online store about it and they send you a replacement. But in this case, that particular thief turned out to be a real delivery man. And that angered this particular victim who said that is not right. She did not want to be identified for security reasons. For this story, well call her jennifer. This security video taken last wednesday shows an amazon carrier delivering her laptop. Policing the box on the Apartment Office doorstep. The still taken from another camera shows a different delivery man making his rounds at the apartment complex. Then later, this video. It shows him stealing the box with her laptop. Jennifer contacted amazon and the police and they sent her another laptop but she decided she had had enough. I actually had another amazon order a few months ago that disappeared and this is the second time. Reporter this time she had the goods. The damning video. Hopefully he could or someone will recognize him and he could get caught. Reporter she sent the video and photographs to amazon. Low and behold, she got this reply from amazon delivery unit. The manager actually recognized his employee from the video and he contacted me and let me know that he has fired the employee since seeing the video. Reporter there is a spike in the number of packages stolen from doorsteps. Jennifer did her part in exposing a thief that has probably stolen before. Here is her message to other victims. A judge today ruled that the citys Environmental Review of the proposed arena was adequate and they rejected that the city failed to consider alternative sites so the project in mission bay could move forward. They are like annoying Little Brothers and they like poking at each other.
