The suspect took off, smashing his mitsubishi into another car a couple of blocks away. That car then spun around. Two people suffered injuries, police say they found illegal narcotics in the trunk of the suspects car. And a San FranciscoState University professor under arrest, accused of taking video of his students using the bathroom during parties at his home. Authorities say mark landis faces misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy. Prosecutors say landis used a hidden camera to take the video. Very egregious acts, using a camera in a toilet pointing towards peoples genitals and private parts. Very, very concerning. Investigators say they found many instances of students being filmed while using the bathroom. On the cameras memory card they say they know of 15 victims but there could be more. Landis resigned his position at San Francisco state earlier this month. And a soccer coach charged with molesting a 10yearold girl. 26yearold jesse slicker arrested, listed as a coach on the clubs website. He has been ordered to stay away from the facility. He is due back in court august 25th to enter a plea. An oakland mother accused o locking her kids in the car while she gambled at an east bay facility. She is facing child endangerment. The Emergency Responders rescued her two Young Children from a hot car on sunday. The reporter joins us outside of the casino in livermore. Reporter well, cheryl, the attorney asked to lower wynettes bond so she could go home to her children. A frightened child looking out of the glass, the 2yearold could be heard crying. Police responding to the parking lot say that wynettes children suffered in the hot car so she could enjoy her habit. She left to go do something for her pleasure. Reporter today, her attorney argued the 37yearold mother should be released from jail because she has other High School Age children and never needed the court to step in before. The judge kept bail at 100,000 citing the serious nature ofnr e offense, saying wynette told the officials she went inside the casino to use the bathroom, however video doesnt support the claims. The children were not injured but local paramedics say it doesnt take long for a child to overheat. The power line may have sparked the fire that broke out this afternoon between canada road and interstate 280 near the Canada College campus. Pg e reports that nearly 7500 homes and businesses in the area lost power. There were no reports that the flames threatened buildings, however. The smoke has caused problems for drivers along 280. And san jose arson investigators are looking for the cause of another fire, near bantam lane. As we learned this is the third fire there in just a matter of months. Reporter 5 30 a. M. , in the middle of summer should be a very quiet time on a middle school campus. Not the case at Davis Intermediate School in san jose today. Fire crews rushed to the scene after a neighbor reported seeing smoke, and sure enough, flames had erupted on the roof of a multipurpose roof. This is about 100 by 200 feet or so. A fairly large building. We had a lot of smoke coming from the building. Reporter the firefighters made quick work of it, saving most of the furniture and other contents of the room and keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the building. Investigators say the fire started on the roof, and since it was after hours and there was no obvious heat source up there it is suspicious. The fire at a facility requires extensive investigation, we will be investigating the fire and at this time the cause is undetermined. Chp says there were two other fires here in the last month, one in a trash can, the cause undetermined. The other on a roof. In that case the investigators did find smoking materials at the scene. And officials trying to figure out what caused a fire that sent two people to the hospital. The fire broke out at 11 45 last night in the deerfield lodge, two people jumped from the second story balcony, which escaped the flames before firefighters were able to get it out. I heard this bang, which almost sounded like a gunshot. And all of the escalating get out, get out get out. The trees and everything behind me, the flames were just so huge. The fire destroyed six units and six cars and displaced 35 people. Damage was estimated at 2. 5 million so it is pretty bad.
