highway. and this is just one of a handful of problems that has been created by this weather. in cloverdale, tree came down over highway 128, shutting down traffic and also took out a powerline, which knocked out electricity for 365 sonoma county customers. back here in marin county, the highway was shut down. that's because a portion of the hillside collapsed over the road, bringing rock, mud, and trees down. road crews made quick work of clearing the debris with by a front-end loader. this is a road usually used by locals. >> two routes from there, and then the back route that you can take. that's a long way around. and so get on it quickly. the people get -- caltrans gets there quick and take care of it as fast as they can. >> reporter: now, we watched as the loader cleared out the bulk of the slide in an hour, but crews took more time cleaning up the road. now back here live. i don't know if you can tell but right now -- a few seconds ago there was a chp officer right there at the intersection where they had the road blocked off but he just cleared out so this is road is now back open to track. reporting live in -- we are in marin county. sergio quintana, abc-7 news. >> ama: a high surf advisory for the bay area went into effect, through monday morning. weather officials expect high swells and strong rip currents. a winter storm warning is posted in the sierra. snow levels are up to 4,000 feet. chains are required on highway 50 and 80. for the latest, let's go to leigh glaser. >> leigh: the first actual very strong cold front brought heavy rain and the -- it's this band of showers developing, this post frontal band, that could cause problems for the bay area. i'd say coming around in the next 15-30 minutes. you can see the rain picking up near sea ranch, and cloverdale, and lightning strikes right here so this band, about 11 miles off the coast, as it moves inland, with the heating of the day, we may have lightning strikes. all of this is moving in our direction. we have just a few little light showers towards livermore valley. this cell heading towards the tracy area. we'll check out the advisories. they have been updated sense last we spoke, and taking a look at the seven-day forecast, there's some snipe coming -- some sunshine coming up. >> ama: the search for sierra lamar continued to with a march. dozens of children and teens too young to search for sierra marched to main street to pass out flyers to local businesses. the 15-year-old disappeared two weeks ago on the way to school, her cell phone, purse, and some clothes has been found. >> to allow the youth an opportunity to get involved in the efforts to bring sierra home. there are a -- a lot of them have not been= join in the search due to age restrictions so this is an opportunity for them to get involved. >> volunteers and investigators continue to search for sierra today. focusing on offroad areas of morgan hill, including south coat coit tee creek trail. on thursday, a searcher found used condoms and an empty hand cuff box. >> the antioch police believe a bar fight led to a deadly shooting this morning around 1:30 in the morning. a group of men who had been kicked out of the bar, came back with baseball bats and got into a fight. one of the men in the group pulled out a gun, fired a shot, and killed a man inside the bar. police continue to investigate. they have not made any arrests. >> hundreds joined a march today on the police nation the florida town where trayvon martin was killed. locations, so we'll continue with showers tonight. possible thunder in those showers. mostly sunny and breezy tomorrow, though. what a big difference tomorrow will be for april fool's day. the first
