Now we confirmed from a san jose state spokesperson, he will not be teaching at the university this semester. He was set to teach two classes. One was canceled. The shutdown of the presidio will stretch from the main post to crissy field where a Patriot Prayer rally is scheduled to take place. Businesses were told they have to close for safety reasons in case saturdays rally gets violent. The National Park service issued the permit yesterday, citing the groups right to free speech. It comes with 26 conditions. You see some of them there, including no firearms, aerosols, or ammunition. Abc 7 news spoke with the man behind the rally, joey gibson of vancouver, washington. He shared his reaction after securing his permit. Heres reporter vic lee with the interview. Joey gibson, leader of Patriot Prayer, is expecting hundreds of people to attend his rally saturday at crissy field. Theres going to be bernie supporters coming in. Were going to have atheists, christians, muslims. He never doubted the park service would grant him the permit to hold the gathering. Im not surprised. Its in the constitution, the first amendment. Demo of the main spillway is now complete and placement of reenforced structural concrete is a quarter way to being finished.
