62, and 60. We have our inland numbers, 76, only 83 and 75. Enjoy a delightful evening. It was kind of lonely this morning, alexis. Not many people out when i was coming in. Me neither. We saw some really heavy commutes monday and tuesday. Yesterday wasnt too bad, and today is pretty light. I cant figure it out. It felt like we were getting back into the fall time traffic, but maybe not yet. Maybe a false alarm. Southbound 101 between millbrae and broadway in the burlingame area, we have paving work that should be wrapping up right now. The southbound lanes were scheduled to reopen at 5 . Then a quick check of the bay bridge toll plaza, no metering lights. We had maintenance on the bridge into San Francisco, they have picked that up too. Well be back in a few minutes with another traffic update. Thank you. Happening today, final prep under way for the biggest concert weekend of the year, outside lands. Gorillaz, metallica, lorde, and their friends descend on the park soon. Tiffany wilson is there before any of them show up. Hi, tiffany. Reporter yes, rereggie, i am absolutely the first one to the party, but a lot of people will be joining me here tomorrow when the tenth anniversary of outside lands kicks off. As you mentioned, about 225,000 people will swarm the park for a chance to sway to the music and saver some culinary delights. Along with dozens of bands, outside lands includes some 80 bay area restaurants, 40 Northern California wineries, and nearly 30 west coast breweries. While some since were at the corner of frederick, at essentially in Golden Gate Park, we dont have the same amount of bike traffic that we normally do. Festival organizers say the celebration brings more than 70 million to San Franciscos economy and employs about 4,850 people each year. If youre going to the festival, youre encouraged to use a clear bag or just leave your backpack at home. Organizers say bringing a regular bag will result in long lines and a delayed entrance. Live in Golden Gate Park, Tiffany Wilson, abc7. Sounds like its going to be really fun. Thank you. Alexis smith is joining us with the warning about outside lands and the road closures to tell us about. Yeah, i always have to bring the mood down a little bit here with the not so fun part. We definitely have road closures involved. This is just a massive festival. If this is your first time experiencing it, we already have jfk drive closed between transverse and 36th. That will remain that way until sunday evening. Starting toot at about 8 00 p. M. Through sunday, really limited access to get into the park for vehicles. You can still walk in, still take your bike, but honestly, driving not a great option the entire weekend. Muni Subway Service will remain open. The last several weekends, we had that closed for new train testing. Not the case this weekend. Theyre going to leave that open for all the concert goers. Also, n. Judah, s. Fulton, and fulton express, good options if you want to take muni bus, and a shuttle all three days. So plan ahead because there will be massive crowds this weekend. Back to you. Thanks. That follows a memo from a now fired employee saying women dont have the biological makeup to succeed in Silicon Valley. Matt keller is live from google headquarters. This memo had all of Silicon Valley talking about diversity. Now, the ceo of google will be talking to his employees at a town hall meeting about diversity. Its all because of this former employee. Maybe if we want to make tech a more female friendly environment, we should recognize that some women are different than men in these ways. Thats Software Engineer james damore. He spoke with conservative uber stephan malineaux. He criticized googles diversity initiatives and argues biological differences between men and women are behind the gender pay gap in tech. Not saying that any of the female engineers at google are in any way worse than the average male engineer. Im just saying that this may explain some of the disparity in representation. And damore paints google culture as being intolerant to the right. Google fired damore after his post went viral, saying it advanced harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace. They say todays town hall meeting will not be open to the media. Matt keller, abc 7 news. Only adding to googles issues, a San Francisco law firm is planning to sue the tech giant for pay bias. An attorney on the case says nearly 70 female employees have come forward. Women have experienced sex harassment, there have been comments about their looks. They have been shown cell phone images that they didnt want to see. They have been told that women cant perform engineering jobs. The Labor Department reviewed payroll records and says it found a systematic problem of google underpaying women. Google says it disagrees with the conclusion and it says it has no gender pay gap. On to developing news from north korea now. That country saying it could launch Ballistic Missiles towards guam by the middle of the month. They say the plan will go to kim jongun for approve once its finalized. Earlier this week, President Trump said if north korea makes any more threats to the u. S. , it will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. The statements caught some of hiswn o off guard. North korea dismissed the threat from our president as, quote, a load of nonsense. American allies are condemning the norths aggressive threats. Our collective strategy has not changed. And that is to bring pressure to bear on north korea through diplomatic and economic means, to force it to change its behavior. Japan has said it could shoot down north korean missiles if theyre fired towards guam. And reggie, i have some details coming in right now on north koreas plan that i have been gathering. They made the announcement this morning. And it would involve launching multiple Ballistic Missiles towards the u. S. Territory. Guam, as you know, a Major Military hub. North korea said this morning theyre getting ready to fire four of its missiles. They would launch east over japan towards guam, and they think the missiles would land just off the coast of the island, anywhere from 18 to 25 miles from guam. And as we have been talking about both japan and south korea promising a strong reaction if the north does go through with that plan. Reggie. Thanks, jess. And israeli citizenship was hired by an unidentified person to threaten rancho cutaughty high school in march. The bomb threat forced nearly 1600 students and faculty to evacuate. Investigators believe that same man is also behind more than 200 Threats Targeting Jewish Community Centers this year. This morning, hes in jail in israel awaiting extradition to the u. S. Oakland police are investigating after a person was killed. So far, homicide detectives will only say the person died while a crime was being committed. The victim died on rich street around 12 30 yesterday afternoon. Police have not released any details about the people or cars linked to the case. An east Bay High SchoolFootball Team is scrambling to replace more than 10,000 worth of stolen equipment. Helmets and other items vanished during midjuly at Washington High School in fremont. T. s board will get an update on a controversial proposal to the east bay. It would extend their line 5 1 2 miles to livermore.
