Attorney general Jeff Sessions urged cities to comply with immigration detainers and he doubled down on the Trump Administrations threat to pull funding from sanctuary cities like San Francisco that ignore the federal law. City leaders say since the flood victims lack the time, resources or access to attorneys they should act. How can they do that . San jose is one of only four cities in california with the ability to bring unfair Business Practices suits against private parties. They pulled the man up from the side of the cliff but called off the water search for the other man around 10 00 last night. Investigators will be back out in an oakland Apartment Building this morning after a massive fire killed at least three people and one person may still be missing in the charred rubble of the fouralarm fire. You remember we brought it to you as breaking news on abc 7 mornings yesterday. More than 80 residents are now homeless. I dont know what to do. I lost everything. I dont have nothing but the bags the free clothes, i have no underwear, i dont have nothing. Heartbreaking. Part of the building was used as transitional housing for homeless people, people getting out of prison and those with Mental Health issues. The red cross is trying to help those victims. A temporary shelter is set up at the west Oakland Youth Center on market. We are keeping an eye on developing news in miami where two cops were injured in an ambushstyle shooting the offic being rushed to a hospital by their colleagues. The officers who were shot were sitting in an unmarked car and monitoring an apartment complex when two gunmen opened fire. Little information on the shooters at this point. All investigators know is that the gunmen are teenagers and they wore dark hooded sweatshirts. The officers were part of the Homicide Task force gang unit. Unfortunately i should say fortunately they are expected to survive. Now to the raiders moving to las vegas. The city of oakland is considering suing the team and possibly the nfl. The state department issued a statement calling the detentions an affront to essential democratic values. This morning the controversial Dakota Access pipeline is one step closer to going into service. The developer says oil is in the pipeline and that means engineers can begin testing.
