They are classifying this as a homicide and are actively looking for the killer. They havent said how the man was killed. Republicans argue their bill to replace obamacare would slash an estimated a new report estimates tens of thousands of americans would lose their coverage. I should say tens of millions. The report from the Nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found 14 million americans who have Health Insurance would lose it by next year under the republican plan. Vallejos police chief is ordering a complete investigation into this officer seen in this disturbing video punching and hitting a man with a flashlight. According to police, officers were called to the gas station on friday because 23yearold dejuan hall was scaring employees. The owner of the station told us hall was trying to buy a bus tukt to sacramento and when his credit card got declined he got angry. The station owner says the man began pointing his fingers at employees like he had a gun and began shouting, im god. The Police Department has not told us if that officer will replain on duty while that investigation continues. Haepg today, the contra costa board of supervisors will vote whether to spend thousands of dollars to buy tasers for the Sheriffs Office. The purchase order for those tasers . 800,000. The Sheriffs Office says tasers have been proven highly effective in subduing combative suspects. If this is approved, the money will also help cover Officers Training costs. The board is expected to vote at 9 00 this morning. Stake take a look at this cell phone video of dirt bikers riding around this apartment complex in San Francisco. Frustrated neighbors say the bikers are endangering safety and creating too much noise. This is a story we first learned about from hoodline. This is happening in the lower haight. Reporter Law Enforcement is attempting to catch these dirt bike herbs at their start or end point. Chasing them through San Francisco is not an option. Our policies are very restrictive and its for a good reason. I do have confidence that the police can deal with it by moving slowly and trying to identify people. He crashed into the marina along the embarcadero just north of 16th avenue. The man was unresponsive when firefighters pulled him out around 9 30. They performed cpr before rushing him to the hospital. Developing news in napa this morning, two Police Officers on administrative leave after fatally shooting a man in the parking lot of a home depot. This happened at the store on kansas avenue. Witnesses say a crazed man, their words, was stabbing and slashing at cars when officers arrived. Two of them shot and killed him. One home depot employee saw it all unfold from inside t store. One woman who lives in a homeless encampment says she shows the suspect, a homeless man in his early 20s. Happening today, one of three suspects arrested in a deadly freeway shooting is expected to hare if court. 24yearold Demarcus Doss was shot and killed last thursday. One of the suspects, elliot johnson, is now charge with his murder. Two 17yearolds were also arrested for the crime and they have not yet been identified. It is not clear what led up to the shooting. Johnson is scheduled to appear in court today. The family has set up a gofundme page to help with funeral expenses. More than 10,000 has been raised of their 20,000 goal. Alice quintana spoke to abc7 news from his hospital bed yesterday. You see the bikers here. They performed a terrifying assault on quintana last wednesday. Quintana believes they thought that he was trying to run one of them over when he pulled off the freeway, they surrounded his car, broke his cars windows, and when he got out, they broke his nose and even shattered his leg. He looked at me right in the eyes and all i could do was just lay there and cry and think about my kid. Supporting his son, his baby elijah, is the reason quintana was driving to the bay area every day to work for uber and lyft. Now the new father is out of a job and is trying to help Law Enforcement track down the bikers. The Morgan Hill School Board will meet in emergency session to discuss a sexual abuse lawsuit. The parents of three girls have reached a tentative 8. 25 million settlement with the district. 55yearold John Arthur Lloyd was convicted of abusing the girls while they were students at Paradise Valley elementary. He was also convicted of abusing a fourth girl who did not attend that school. The Parents Say School leaders failed to see the obvious signs of abuse. As part of the settlement, the parents are demanding the district do more to protect students. Both sides will be back in court tomorrow. Parttime workers in san jose now have the opportunity to work more hours. Its a story weve been covering for almost a year now. Last april, abc7 news was in san jose when a coalition of labor, religious, and Community Leaders turned in petitions to give parttimers priority when it comes to extra hours. The petition became a voterapproved ballot measure that took effect yesterday. So, this requires employers to boost hours for current parttime employees instead of hiring additional staff. San francisco could soon be home to a National Museum chronicling if impact of aids on the world. The New York Times reports the staff of the park is gauging interest now in a place that would detail how aids both devastated and transformed society. It would be similar to the Holocaust Museum on the National September 11 memorial. Uc berkeley a step away from having its first female chancellor. Happening today, thousands of student in one east Bay School District will get new School Supplies thanks to a big donation. Nearly 700 oakland unified School District classrooms will get these supplies. More than 22,000 students at 41 schools are going to receive these packs of supplies. And we created this time lapse video of the work to remove it yesterday. Demolition began ban in november of 2013. Now it is still not finished entirely. The truss was one of the last visible sections of the bridge for drives. That concrete foundations, though, will have to still be demolished sometime this fall.
