Reporter rajeev is accused of talking four girls. Santa clara county investigators believe there are at least 19 alleged victims based on what they found at his home in cupertino. We saw he had a lot of photographs of these young girls almost in kind of a shrine on his wall. Pretty scary stuff. Reporter investigators also found gifts they believe were intended for would be victims. They say sanhi had applied for jobs and volunteer positions at churches and schools that he handed out this Business Card to girls promoting his website and a book titled jc makeover. Happening today, San Franciscos new chief of police, william scott, will attend his First Community town hall and everyones invited. Scott was appointed in december and sworn in two months ago. Scott is going to answer questions at the Joseph Lee Recreation Center on mendal street at 6 00 tonight. New this morning, Hayward Police serving a warrant as part of what theyre calling a largescale operation. There was some confusion over whether this could be some sort of immigration raid. Ill have an update coming up. Happening now in the east bay, a major water main break has left homes and apartment complexes flooded. And now theres concern that the street could collapse. Abc7 News ReporterAmy Hollyfield live for us in pittsburg. Reporter hi, reggie, look behind me, theyve made a lot of progress just within the last hour. They have filled the hole. Thats where the water main ruptured. There was a huge hole when we got here about an hour ago. Now its filled and theyre hoping to get this street, Black Diamond street, open very soon, hopefully within the next hour. Look at what happened last night, though, it created such a mess here. Water flooded the basements of four homes because of this water main break. And then two apartment complexes also had about a foot of water in them. This happened because a 12inch water main ruptured at 9 45 last night here on Black Diamond road. Emergency crews told residents in the area of 10th and 11th streets to stay inside. The water was up about 2 feet and several yards so we had the people basically secure them in place in their houses and apartments because that was the safest place for them. Reporter the street around the break buckle so there was a fear that the whole street would collapse. They have secured the road and theyve repaired the main. Water service has been turned back on, hoping to have this street reopened soon. No one was hurt but now the residents, of course, have to deal with the damage left behind. From pittsburg to san jose now. Same issue. Flooding. Much anticipated public hearing is set for today to review the citys response to that massive problem from coyote creek. Thousands of residents were caught by surprise by that largescale flooding two weeks ago. San jose didnt issue an Evacuation Order for neighborhoods along coyote creek until more than four hours after rock springs was already submerged. Accountability for putting lives in jeopardy is expected to come up at the hearing, along with the citys reliance on the internet and social media to push out alerts. The meeting going to be held today at 3 00 at San Jose City hall. Chipotle restaurants across san jose are holding a fundraiser for flood victims today. Theyre donating 100 of the proceeds to the San Jose Flood Victims Relief Fund but you have to mention it so make sure if you go, you tell the cashier you are supporting the cause or show them this flyer on your smartphone. New this morning, a stretch of sir Francis Drake boulevard is open after being closed by a mudslide. The slide happened near baywood canyon road yesterday morning and its not the first problem in that area. Mud and rock slides from recent storms have closed sir Francis Drake off and on for weeks now. Developing news, republicans have won their first round in the fight to dismantle obamacare. After nearly 18 hours of debate, a house ways and Means Committee approved the measure, shortly after 1 30 this morning. Heading into the allnighter, House Speaker paul ryan said he had no doubt obamacare this excuse me, this obamacare replacement would pass. Democrats tried various stalling tactics, at one point debating an amendment to change the name of the bill to the republican pay more for less act. Republicans finally pushed the bill forward with the party line 2316 vote. Important step in the repeal of obamacare and freeing millions of americans, patients and local businesses from that pain. The energy and Commerce Committee is still debating as we speak. They have been meeting for 22 hours, discussing how to reshape medicaid. San franciscos city attorney, Dennis Herrera is asking a federal judge to halt enforcement of President Trumps new sanctuary city order. That order threatens to withhold federal funds to communities that bar police from enforcing immigration laws. He argues it tramples on state sovereignty and exceeds the president s authority. He also says the order is so vague, cities dont know how much money they could lose. The judge expected to consider an injunction on the president s San Francisco is among ten sanctuary cities in the bay area. A plea from city leaders in San Bernardino to President Trump is stirring anger this morning. Theyre asking him for help in fighting crime. The city had a Record Number of homicides last year and is emerging from bankruptcy. The mayor, city council, and police chief sent a letter to the white house to ask for help. It was sent, though, woutd public input, and now critics are threatening to sue. City leaders say they wont do it again but critics want the letter rescinded and theyre giving the city 30 days to do so. Well, now to a movement. Patricks day parade after a Gay Veterans Group was excluded from festivities and this morning, bostons mayor, the parades grand marshall, governor, some congressmen, basically a laundry list of people all threatening to boycott now. Police say they were after her car. One of the suspects pointed a gun at them and the other suspect grabbed the baby from the vehicle, hanging on to the baby, and basically ended up taking one of her bags from the vehicle. The baby wasnt hurt. Police say the victim is a single mom, an army veteran. She had just taken money out of the bank to buy a cake for her daughters birthday. Oakland City Council Approve ago revised plan requiring anyone who owns and operates a Legal Marijuana business to live in the city. Tuesday nights City Council Vote overhauled legislation on how cannabis businesses will be regulated in oakland. Family skpr and friends mourning the death of a san jose woman who had initially survived a plane crash in southern california. Stacey pierce was taken off life support. She died tuesday night. His wife underwent a third surgery on tuesday after she suffered thirddegree burns to much of her body. Doctors had amputated both her legs in an attempt to save her. Abc7 news was at the oakland zoo for a first look at the 80 million california trail project. The exhibit now features gondolas to give visitors a chance to see native animals living in the hills above the zoo. The california trail will eventually include grizzlies, black bears, jaurks, even mountain lions. Bald eagles and condors will also fly through the exhibit.
