Now, we did get an update from the Sheriffs Office last night. Or early this morning at around 2 00 a. M. Its a tweet that says, suspect still at large. Seen in the area of aldercrof heights and locust drive. Residents should secure homes and report any suspicious activity. The deputies were in the Santa Cruz Mountains with their guns outs last night looking for suspect. A man robbed the bank of america in Scotts Valley. Police chased him on highway 17. When he crashed at Redwood Estates. A Scotts ValleyPolice Officer fired at the suspect, the highway was shut down and the massive man hunt began. After 10 00 last night, they got a call from a woman saying a man armed with a knife was inside her home and had taken off in her van. He fled the area. Deputies responded. Upon receiving the 911 call. And he fled from the van as currently on foot where an active search is going on to locate the suspect. Reporter in the last place he was seen was about six miles away from that womans home. Deputies have advice for residents in that area. Stay inside, lock your doors. All lanes opened up about 11 minutes ago and using our distance measuring tool, about 3 miles but those speeds are picking up. Maybe just a mile and a half of stop and go traffic at this point and i think since weve got some friday light volumes we will start to see that improve in just a few minutes. Crews just finished clearing the mess from a big rig fire in the dublin area. We were just at the scene not too long ago, and this is what it looked like. Caltrans workers clearing charred debris from the freeway. They needed to make sure the area was safe before reopening all lanes. They worked throughout the night. This fire happened around 6 30 yesterday evening. Flames engulfed a big rig. Alameda county Fire Department tweeted some pictures. Truck collided with a smaller car, but there were no reports of any injuries. Truck was filled with dhl mail and firefighters were able to extinguish those flames but the fire reignited just a few hours later. Again, we are here along 580, the westbound lanes near that 680 junction where there was a huge traffic nightmare that started yesterday around 6 00. That truck caught fire around 6 30 last night after a crash and then it actually reignited again several hours lair. The back of the truck was filled with dhl mail and packages, it is not clear what happened to all the mail that was damaged. Now to the president s first 100 days. Fear and frustration in San Francisco this morning after a surprise visit from i. C. E. Agents at a nonprofit that helps immigrant families. Agents showed up looking for a convicted sex offender who wasnt there. This photo was taken outside of a building belonging to the Good SamaritanFamily Resource center. Agents thought the sex offender was living at the apartment complex. In a statement, an i. C. E. Spokesperson said the i. C. E. Officers spoke with an individual who directed them to the correct address, which was actually next door. The i. C. E. Police coming to a Family Resource center, inquiring about individuals, it just seemed inappropriate. They struck fear in our community. And thats not good. Water is abc7 news was in San Franciscos soma district as protesters demonstrated against President Trumps executive action to move forward with the keystone xl and Dakota Access pipelines. The protest began at the federal building, demonstrators marched several blocks to mission and 8th streets. They blocked the intersection for a short time.
