For those of us staying in town this weekend, lets get a check of the full accuweather forecast. Hi, lisa. Hi, chris. Were beginning a warming trend today. Temperatures coming up to where they should be for this time of year, although it ended up warm yesterday with all the moisture in the atmosphere, kind of muggy out there. Were looking at a lot of cloud cover this morning. Even an isolated shower earlier in napa. This is the trajectory the system that wouldnt go away. Brought a few sprinkles and light how isser to the east bay and pushing up to the north and east rapidly. High pressure builds in behind it. So here as we start out this morning, you can see the cloud cover and temperatures are on the mild side with numbers ranging from 56, 59 oakland, 57 mountain view, 59 san jose, morgan hill, 56 and halfmoon bay 54 degrees. Setting 8 34, summer just a few days away. It begins officially on monday. It will feel like it over the weekend. Its 53 in santa rosa. 54 in novato. Upper 50s for fairfield and concord. At the airport, pretty shot here. You can see the clear skies. Skies will continue to clear throughout the day today. Well have the low clouds and fog banked up along the shorelines for the first part of the day, so looking at some of the cloud cover early on. Isolated shower, then plenty of sunshine for everyone today and warm and sunny tomorrow for fathers day, which really gets going on the warm side with fogfree conditions, light offshore flow above the surface tomorrow. But today, well look at some of the stubborn cloud cover and then plenty of sunshine out there. Actually temperatures just around 80 degrees and our warmest inland valleys, thats where we should be for this time of year. Notice the 60s all along the shoreline except santa cruz, 73. The ocean still very cool, 56 degrees. 63 ocean beach and halfmoon bay. So as we skip ahead to tomorrow, notice those reds coming into play. Thats the 90s. Our inland east bay, concord 92, oakland 6 degrees tomorrow, 79, 80s arrive on the peninsula on the north bay and by monday, yeah, summertime with temperatures still 80s and 90s and even for tuesday were going to get that on shore flow. Will never warm up that much along the shoreline, but were still going to see the heat. It will take another day for things to cool off until probably the middle of the week for our inland valleys. So if you are headed to the san mateo fair, notice, well, the cloud cover just along the coast. And that should provide for pretty nice afternoon with temperatures warming to the low 70s, 2 00 p. M. , 70, 5 00 p. M. And then temperatures in the mid 60s by about 8 00 p. M. Elsewhere around the bay, highs ranging from the 60s at the coast, 74 today in oakland. 77 in freemont. 76 palo alto with the low 80s, concord, livermore, 79 san jose and santa rosa. Feeling good out there. Pretty typical. As we look ahead the accuweather seven day forecast, notice tomorrow for fathers day, we are heating up, 90s inland, mid 90s for monday, may a degree or too cooler for tuesday, the end of the week, well cool off to near average temperatures. Many people realize they havent saved enough for retirement and see a reverse mortgage as a possible fix. But is it . Michael finney has this report on the pit fals of reverse mortgaging. Borrowing against the equity on your home for Retirement Income can be a good idea. But reverse mortgages has a history of problems. Despite recent reforms, Consumer Reports says be careful. When karen and her husband charles took out a reverse mortgage, karen was 60 years old. Two years too young to be on the loan, so she took her name off the title. Then charles died suddenly. And karen found herself facing foreclosure. When i got the notice, i didnt know what to do. I really felt sick to my stomach after a while and that feeling didnt go away for quite a long time. Reporter new regulations to protect spouses not on the loans came just in time to allow karen to keep the house. But despite reforms, Consumer Report says there are still plenty of pit fals with reverse mortgages. Reverse mortgages can be very risky loans. They come with certain conditions. If you dont meet them, you could potentially lose your home. Reporter a reverse mortgage can also be expensive, so Consumer Reports says ask yourself some tough questions, like, what is the total cost, including closing fees and expenses . Is moving a better, cheaper option . Can you truly afford to live in your home . Youre still responsible for paying property taxes, insurance and upkeep. And finally, is this a home you can stay in as you age . Does it have a lot of stairs . Is there big property to maintain . Are you close to good doctors and hospitals . And probably most important are you near family members who can look out for you if you need help in your older years . Reporter advice karen urges other seniors to consider carefully. One important change, before applying for a reverse mortgage, seniors will be required to fill out a detailed work shooet that outlines possible consequences.
