The family of the patient who disappeared, later found dead at San Francisco general hospital, is suing the city now. 57yearold lynn spaulding, her body found more than two weeks later in a stairwell. They blame the death on the hospital and sheriffs department. Her family is holding a News Conference this morning to discuss their claim. In the east bay, some parents are fighting a plan to open a Probation Office for convicts right across the street from an elementary school. Its a story youll see only on abc 7 news. Lincoln elementary is just feet from the building where Alameda County wants to relocate its Probation Department. Telling abc 7 news, all types of offenders, even sex offenders, would report there when it opens next year. The Probation Department was already in the process of moving in when School Administrators and parents found out. There hasnt been any response in terms of a Community Group meeting. No responses, and we just want some answers first and some kind of security. I think we need to give the county administrator time to talk to the various democrats. This morning, a family from South Carolina is safe amp their minivan became submerged in the rough atlantic surf on floridas daytona beach. Look at the dramatic rescue. A terrifying scene, trapped inside that van a mother and her three children ages 3, 9 and 10. Officials say the woman was driving on the beach yesterday when her minivan was just swallowed up. Bystanders and lifeguards jumped into action coming everybody from the van as it filled up with water. Officials are trying to determine just why the mini havent was there. And damaging 45 homes. The womans body found on a car not far from the blast near trenton yesterday. Contractors damaged a gas line while digging in the area.
