Paramedics were here at this home in san lorenzo but we dont know what the medical emergency was because of privacy issues but as they were putting the person into the ambulance, paramedics say he became combative and they called the Sheriff Deputies for help. The man ran back inside the home. The Sheriff Deputies were told the man needed medical attention and they should check on him. They went into the home and that is when they were attacked. Sending the house, the man came out with a bail bat and hit the sergeant with the baseball bat and the sergeant was carrying a patrol rifle and it disabled the rifle and hit him in his arm and he tried to block the strike of the baseball bat and at that time he went for the handgun and fired with another deputy and hit the man and he died. Officers are okay. His wife was hour and she is being interviewed right now. This happened inside their home in san lorenzo. Deputies say they are familiar with this home they have been called to this home 19 times since 2011 for various calls.
