A man came forward saying the same county deputy recently pulled a gun on him two months ago. Jeff westbrook claims he was pulled over for a traffic stop when the deputy twice pulled out his gun in an encounter. His Attorney Says a veteran with lots of experience would only pull his gun if there was a need and that the shooting of 13yearold andy lopez last week was the first time gaylehouse had actually fired r fired his gun in the line of duty. The south bay father whose two children spent more than 17 hours inside a suv is due in court today. A neighbor found the 10yearold girl and 8yearold boy cold, tired and hungry and called police. We have the story. Police say 29yearold julio reyes drove his two kids two to north hill view drive and left them in his suv seen in this photo. It was 10 00 tuesday night and reyes was off to visit a friend in the area. Police got a called from a concerned neighbor who noticed the kids at 12 42 the next afternoon. The officers show up and find a 10yearold female and an 8yearold male all by themselves in the car and theyre tired and theyre cold and theyre hungry. The kids were taken into protective custody. The officers bought them food while the department tried to track down reyes. We called local hospitals. We called both Alameda County and santa Claire County to see if he was in county with no luck. Finally, wednesday night, more than 24 hours after police say he left his kids, reyes called them to report his vehicle and children missing. The neighbor who called police didnt want to be on camera, but told me she heard honking from the suv and saw little feet pressed up against the horn. She figured it was a neighbors car, but a nagging feeling that something just wasnt right made her call 911. I work for the school district, so its just hard to its difficult to hear that a parent would actually do that to their own kids. The childrens mother was contacted and met with police, but the boy and girl remain in the care of the department of family and Children Services while police investigate. Abc 7 news. Two boys are in serious condition this morning after a car hit them in the Sonoma County community of cloverdale. A car struck the boys in a crosswalk at hillsburg avenue around 7 00 last night. One boy is 12. The other is 13 years old. Paramedics air lifted one boip boy to Childrens Hospital oakland and the other was taken to a nearby hospital with head and shoulder injuries. The 75yearold driver is cooperating with investigators. A teenager is in the hospital after suffering a serious injuries in a High School Football game lai last night.
