Alameda county Health Officials will hand out rabie information after a girl was bitten we a rabid bat while visiting the oakland zoo on saturday and a bat flew and bit her. It was captured and confirmed to have rabies so she was placed on a round of medication and will make a full recovery, the third case of rabies this year in the county. Oakland police are offering a reward to find a shooter who killed a man and injured another. 10,000 is offered in the shooting that happened on 80th avenue at 7 30 last night. A man died at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital, the 55th homicide so far this year. Last year at this time there were 64 homicides. In Richmond Police were called to the City Council Chambers when protesters disrupted the meeting. This is video from facebook of the richmond counsel member. The Contra Costa Times reported the protesters screamed bringing city business to a halt. The reason for the destruction is not clear but the council has been dealing with loud disruptions at meeting and hate speech directed at gays. Police vacated the chambers and 100 people watched the rest of the meeting on monitors in the lobby and the patio. A business is trying to move into downtown san jose over the oks of neighbors and city officials. A Gentlemans Club is opening in a Historic Building a few blocks from city hall.
