Reporter well, ama, they say that the the neighbors say theyre impressed with the police work that ht suspect in handcuffs within five minutes. But they are also saddened and scared that a woman who was just doing her job was fatally stabbed mere in broad daylight and robbed as she lay bleeding on the sidewalk. I was working on the cornern and i heard a loud thump. So i was curious and i ran outside, and i saw the victim on the ground. Reporter the victim was a construction worker suffering from a lethal stab wound. She had been holding this stop sign. I drove in and i saw her right before i got into work. And she was fine. Reporter but soon after, neighbors who didnt want to go on camera say they heard an argument. Then i saw a puddle of blood on the side and thats when i realized it was more than that. That as when i called the cops. Reporter standing over the victim and going through her pocket, a woman witnesses say was in her mid20s who had been here before. She was in my business before. She seemed like a normal person. We made small talk and i didnt see anything like what happened today. Reporter neighbors say she took off as the victims cowoeshgz fold her and called police. The victim was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. There are two suspects we have in custody, one male and one female. They were both caught on fullsome street jut after the corner. The second arrest was a man hiding behind a car who appeared to be in his 30s. Police found a sixinch knife in the female suspects waistband. We have what we believe to be be the murder weapon. Reporter police havent said if the suspect knew the victim.
