In developing news, a Virginia State trooper is in the hospital and a gunman is dead after a shooting at a Greyhound Bus station in richmond. It happened during a training exercise. If you look at the other houses and you see this one great deal, thats a red flag. Tsa cut its airport screening staff by about 10 of the past three years, assuming its new tsa precheck system with short lines. That didnt happen. Not enough flyers enrolled so the long lines persist. But the Record Number of flyers expected this summer, travelers are being advised to get to the airport at least two hours early or risk missing flights. Vic lee is live at Police Head Quarters with the latest on the story. Reporter the District Attorney gave no names of those officers or the stations they came from. But abc7 news has learned that at least one of the officers came from this station. We have no samples of those texts, although both the d. A. And police chief believe that the texts were offensive. Each one held his own News Conference today. The District Attorney says he became aware of the Text Messages late last week. They occurred prior to, during, and after last years scandal and it involves five officers that are not corrennec at all to the original 14. Had received 5,000 pages of evidence from the Police Department stemming from a case involving officer jason line, charged with illegally using Police Computers to look into criminal offender information. D. A. Investigators then found the offensive Text Messages from the five officers. Talking a lot of africanamericans and using the n word and talking about members of the lbgt community, also in a very disparaging fashion.
