I just received a call from my daughter saying her boyfriend ray mcdonald was violent and she locked herself in the bedroom, but he broke the door down. He disappeared for about three hours and they later found him here at the san jose home at newly retired 49er defensive tackle justin smith. He was arrested on the spot for misdemeanor Domestic Violence and child endangerment. Police are not identifying the victim or confirming if the woman was his girlfriend or mother to the 2monthold girl. I cannot go specifically into the degree of the assault and other than it was Domestic Violence related and i cant go too much into that assault and what i can say while the victim was assaulted she was holding a young child, an infant. Niners let mcdonald go as a result of past Domestic Violence problems and they went to the Chicago Bears signing a oneyear, 1 million deal and they were learning of todays arrest saying quote, we believe in Second Chances but we were not able to meet the standard. Mcdonald was transported in this black van to the Santa Clara County jail where bail was set at 15,000.
