Reporter according to the email they felt so badly they let her off in her hometown of huntington beach. The group wont identify themselves but feel the need to defend huskins and her boyfriend from claims by police who say they made the whole thing up. In fact, it gave police until noon today to apologize to huskins or face consequences. So far, no comment from police on the case and no apology either. Rapoport is a San Francisco attorney who has represented other highprofile clients including former pleasanton assemblywoman mary hyashi in a shoplifting case from 2011. In vallejo, abc7 news. A fire that threatened homes for a time in San Bernardino county is now out. The blaze broke out this afternoon this a dry riverbed in Spring Valley 90 miles northeast of los angeles. It quickly spread to 60 acres and burned a fence and outbuilding. Authorities evacuated a handful of ranch homes in the area. But crews were able to douse the flames before they got too close. Happened around 6 00 at marin street. A 23yearold woman died at the scene. The driver stopped and is cooperating with authorities. Police are investigating if the woman killed was in the crosswalk at the time. A big mess in fremont this morning. Sky 7 h. D. Was overhead shortly after a tractortrailer loaded with scrap metal overturned on mission boulevard near stevenson boulevard. This was about 10 30 this morning. Police shut down mission from walnut avenue to stevenson for several hours to investigate why the truck tipped over. And of course to clean up the big mess. The driver was injured but not seriously. Sky 7 h. D. Was over 8th and harrison streets in San Francisco where more than a dozen police and chp officers responded to the call of an officer down just before noon. Turns out fortunately there was no shooting or attack. The officer driving the patrol car collided with another vehicle in the intersection. And dispatch couldnt reach them for a while. Emergency crews took the officer to the hospital with unknown injuries. The man driving the other car stayed with police to give his account of what happened. Sfpd is investigating which driver had the right of way. San jose police have finalized the procession route for thursdays funeral for officer Michael Johnson who was killed in the line of duty. There were several road closures along the route. Officer johnsons body will leave the funeral home in los gatos at 10 00 a. M. Multiple reports today say cell phone video found in the wreckage of the germanwings plane that crashed into a french mountainside shows the final moments before impact. A Police Spokesman is denying that that video exists. Meanwhile, the copilot accused of taking the plane down apparently had a history of depression. Lufthanza says Andreas Lubitz informed his Flight School in 2009 that he had a serious depressive episode. The information was found in emails sent to the Flight School after he resumed his training. The airline says it has provided the documents to prosecutors. Lufthanza is canceling celebrations for its 60th anniversary in the wake of last weeks germanwings crash in the french alps. The German Airline declined a long list of festivities on april 15th to mark its refounding a decade after the end of world war ii. Instead, lufthanza will broadcast a Memorial Service for victims of the airlines worstever crash. 149 people were killed when the flight from barcelona to dusseldorf crashed shortly after takeoff. Chaos in Downtown Fresno today after an armed man walked into a medical Office Shooting as he entered, killing one woman before killing himself. Fresno police say the 43yearold woman and 34yearold woman were in a romantic relationship. It started around 11 00 a. M. Witnesses say the man walked into the Medical Clinic shooting guns in the air. Those inside hid in bathrooms and climbed out winds to escape with the help of police. Officers evacuated city hall and several nearby businesses. They discovered the dead man and woman during a search of the building. No one else was hurt. An escaped robbery suspect armed with a gun in virginia is now back in custody after a long search today. The fugitive launched a massive search was riding a d. C. Bus when a passenger recognized him and called police. Authorities say the suspected bank robber was being transferred from jail to Inova Fairfax hospital about ten miles outside of washington, d. C. He was in the custody of private security guards but managed to overpower them and steal one of their guns. At 3 00 this morning he got into a struggle with one of the security guards. And a round was discharged from the security guards weapon. Reporter Police Tweeted this image of him saying hes wearing a hospital gown and no shoes and armed with a gun. He carjacked two different vehicles during his escape. He broke into the trunk of the first car and hid there until the owner drove to work. While commuting to work in the area of the hospital, mr. Sayer started to kick out the back seat from inside the trunk. The vehicle then crashed and he then committed a carjacking. Reporter he was arrested in connection with a bank robbery. Hes believed to be involved in a string of about a dozen Bank Robberies in northern virginia. This is the suspect that robbed the banks in the region using a bicycle. Reporter the coroner identified the victim as 23yearold rita cavalero. Friends say she dreamed of becoming a nurse and just yesterday got a phone call from a hospital about having an interview there. Five weeks ago rita cavalero moved in with jeannette norton. This morning, she grabbed her Running Shoes and set off for the waterfront. Emergency vehicles arrived soon after. I signed commotion. I didnt know it was her. Reporter police say a silver sedan hit the 23yearold. The impact sent her body flying like she had wings. When norton realized her friend was gone, she lost it.
