I worry that seniors dont know they have these exemptions. What shes talking about are water districts, school districts, fire districts, library, parks. So much to look at. The best starting point is your county assessor. Call the office, ask how many of these you are actually paying and then ask if they know if they have an exemption. You can take their word for it although i would not suggest that. I think you should make an entire list and call each one and find out from each one, there is an exemption for a senior. That way you make sure you dont overpay. Shawna asks i dont have a credit card, can i still get a fast track. Thats a great question. You can. They make it kind of hard on you, though. If you are going to use cash, you have to go to just one office on first street in San Francisco, and you pay up front. They can give you the little beeper thing and you are good to go until you run out of money. So you have to show up in person. In person. So every time you would have to keep replenishing, keep going in with more cash. Right. Okay. It does take more time. Susanna emails can i specify in my will that i dont want a casket or Church Service . Is this the right place to make my wishes . Absolutely. Attorneys will tell you make your wishes right there. You can tell your friends and family and they will act like theyre hearing you. Sure, i got it, no problem. When you put it in your last will and testament, people actually Pay Attention to that and almost always follow through as long as youre not taking money out of their pocket.
